Brookwood should be one of the last options parents consider when searching for childcare. I want to share my experience so other families can make an informed decision. To begin with, the teachers themselves are wonderful, and the center is very beautiful. However, as a parent who wants the best for their children, it quickly becomes clear that the leadership and overall environment do not reflect the level of care and support families expect. If you have a child with any special needs or challenges, this is unfortunately not a supportive place. Rather than working with parents and respecting outside services already in place for a child, the administration often criticizes parents and makes them feel like they are doing something wrong if they do not follow the exact direction the school wants. Instead of partnership, it often feels like judgment. There were also multiple incidents involving my children’s safety where I was not properly notified. My one-year-old was bitten multiple times, and in one particularly concerning situation, she was left alone in her classroom for an extended period of time. When I raised concerns, the director lied directly to my face and told me that the cameras were not working. As a parent, this raised serious concerns about transparency and accountability, especially when the safety of a child is involved. Situations like this make it difficult to trust that children are truly in the best hands. When leadership is not transparent with parents about what happens during the day, it naturally raises concerns about the overall care and supervision children are receiving. Another troubling experience involved CPS being contacted about my family. The report was ultimately determined to be unfounded and baseless, which only added to the stress and confusion of the situation. That experience added unnecessary stress to my family and only reinforced concerns about the environment and leadership at this center. Parents should also be aware of some policies regarding tuition which at times make it feel as though the center prioritizes tuition and revenue over the well-being and best interests of the children and families they serve. In fact, families will still be charged during the summer even when their child is not attending, simply to hold their spot. There have also been times when the center was open only about 2½ days in a week while still charging full weekly tuition, which could impact families who are unable to work when the center is closed. Every parent wants to feel confident that their child is safe, supported, and cared for by a team that communicates honestly. Unfortunately, based on my experience, this center did not provide that level of trust or transparency. I hope sharing this helps other parents carefully consider their options when choosing care for their children.

Daniel SwordsAug 24, 2025All 3 of my kids went here. The staff really loves on your kids and they really get your kids ready for kindergarten. I could write a book about how happy we were sending our kids to BPA. :)
Kiara CalverleyJan 22, 2024We started in 2021 with our son in the part time 4K! He absolutely adored his 4K teachers and still enjoys being part of the after school program! Our daughter started full time in 2022! She is now in 3K and loves her friends and teachers! We are so thankful for BPA and its staff!
