Our boys have absolutely thrived since starting at Cadence Academy at the beginning of the year. We love that they have holiday celebrations, themed days, and curriculum that has helped our boys learn SO much. They now speak more and know how to communicate in sign language thank you to their teacher. The teachers are incredible and we love them. Truly thankful for all they do. We also love the director, Carrie, so much!
Rachel Van HartleyJun 15, 2026URGENT- Mary is spraying the toddlers in 2B, in their faces as a form of punishment. She assumed my daughter wasn’t capable of telling me, however she in-fact did! She HAS NOT BEEN FIRED even though she committed battery on children. CHECK on your children if they have been in Mary’s classroom or plan to be. MARY NEEDS TO BE FIRED!!!!!!! She does not deserve to work with children. After making management aware of the situation, nothing was done but a simple slap on the wrist. Unfortunately, Cadence is not a safe space . MARY NEEDS TO BE FIRED.
Jaquette AlstonMay 26, 2026Ms. Cynthia and Ms. Teaira are the phenomenal. My son enjoys them and what they bring to the classroom. Drop-offs are smoother than ever, I receive no bad reports regarding behavior and he is THRIVING. These two teachers are gold! Chesterbrook as an educational outfit seems to be receiving a facelift. The leadership at this location has changed and the ship is being ran smoother with better communication and engagement. My husband and I are pleased.
Alexis BDec 3, 2025⚠️ URGENT: Seeking Justice for My Child I’m heartbroken and angry as a mother. My child was harmed while in the care of a daycare that I trusted — Cadence Academy in Columbia, SC. I was informed that a teacher handled my baby in an unsafe and abusive way, saying things no child should ever hear. I immediately asked to see the classroom footage, but the daycare refused to let me view it, even though it could show exactly what happened. No parent should have to go through this or be kept in the dark when it comes to their child’s safety. I’m sharing this because I want answers, accountability, and to protect other children. I’m taking the proper legal steps, but I also want to raise awareness for every parent: ask questions, trust your instincts, and don’t be afraid to speak up. Please keep my child in your prayers, and please share if you believe parents deserve transparency and the truth when their babies are hurt in someone else’s care. 💔
Destiny RichardsonNov 3, 2025My son has attended Cadence Academy for almost 2 months now. Our experience thus far has been wonderful. Ms. Deborah and Ms. Retha have been amazing with getting my son acclimated as this is his first time going to preschool. At first he would cry when I would leave due to separation anxiety. However, now he smiles and waves bye to me when I leave. I love that they actually teach the kids throughout the day and plan fun activities for them from week to week. The office staff have been amazing as well. Ms. Rachel, Director, has been very accommodating to my son and me. I also want to mention that the preschool, as a whole, emanates a positive vibe which is very welcoming. I am very happy that I made the decision to send my son to this preschool.
MonicaMar 25, 2025Parents, PLEASE READ if you care about the well-being of your child. I took my child out of this school and enrolled elsewhere. Within 1-2 weeks, the diaper rashes cleared up completely. This center lacks professionalism, proper care for the children, and overall competence. One day, I arrived to pick my child up and found my baby lying on the ground in the fetal position with a temperature of 102.4°F—yet no one had contacted me. My child never returned after that. Save yourself the stress and choose a place where the staff are both caring and professional enough to do their jobs. If I could give zero stars, I would.
