Dogwood Lane Children’s Academy has been an absolute blessing for our family. Our son started in the infant room and is now thriving in the Preschool Prep class—and the growth we've seen in him has been nothing short of incredible. The daily activities, structure, and learning opportunities are so thoughtfully planned and executed. It’s clear the staff puts their heart into everything they do. What truly sets Dogwood Lane apart, though, is the people. The teachers and staff have become like a second family to us. Their genuine care, warmth, and dedication to each child’s development and happiness is something we are deeply grateful for every single day. We truly cannot say enough wonderful things about this school. It’s a place filled with love, learning, and laughter. We feel so lucky to be part of it. If we could give a million stars, we would!
Brian FrankenfieldMay 12, 2025My baby started here at 12 weeks and is now almost 14 months. I truly feel like the admin staff and teachers are a part of our village. They are all amazing! I'm a first time mom and new to the area and they have just helped me so much. My baby is well cared for and learns so much there, plus builds social skills interacting with all the other little babies. I honestly think even if I didn't have to work, I'd still probably send him to school here at least on a part time basis because he gets so much from it and the staff is so amazing! I cannot recommend this place enough!
Christina EarlSep 11, 2024My third child attended Dogwood Lane for almost two years. She’s my only child to attend daycare, so I experienced all of the feelings and concerns that come with it. I have a hard time trusting people, which doesn’t help my anxiety. We were lucky enough to get a spot right before they opened, and she spent almost two years there. She moved through four of the classes, and we only left because of a great job-related opportunity. She has come so far in the (almost) two years she spent there. For part of her time there, she was receiving early intervention services, and her therapists were able to work with her there. DLCA provided allergy-safe snacks and meals, and checked in when unusual materials (dyes, shaving cream, candies, etc.) were used to ensure safety. Her teachers also took on the majority of her potty training (bless them). Yes, it is an expensive option, but we felt like she was safe while we were both working- and that’s hard to find. No facility is perfect, but any questions and concerns were quickly addressed. Staff members were responsive through the messaging system in the app (and I appreciated having the photos and log of her activities!). I definitely recommend DLCA.
Elizabeth JonesJul 11, 2024We have only amazing things to say about the Dogwood Lane Lake Wylie location. Our son started daycare here in the infant room and is now in the toddler room and we have always felt so comfortable with all of his teacher’s care. We love the care the teachers, administrators, and directors put into the daily activities (sensory activities, art, teaching methods, outside time, etc.) and truly feel he is learning so much. We enjoy the open lines of communication and photos shared with us throughout the day. The icing on the cake is the meal plan and on site chefs who prepare nutritious meals, so we never have to worry about packing food or if our son is eating well. (We often joke that he eats better than us throughout the day!)
