Messy Monkeys Child Care Center

TLDR: We love it here. Review: We have had our daughter enrolled at Messy Monkeys for nearly a year and a half. I cannot speak to others' experiences but I will convey my own. Classrooms: The director at this place is wonderful. I thought the classrooms were good when we started, but I have seen these classrooms transform into beautiful play areas with high quality toys that encourage babies and kids to think and engage. The amount of time and effort that I see going into these rooms cannot be undersold and our daughter loves it. If it makes her happy, it makes me happy. Incidents: We have been immediately notified any time another kid has hit, pushed, or bit our daughter. Or when she hurts herself. "But wait, they should be watching her and that shouldn't happen!" lol sure. We're not bubble wrap parents and I'm thankful they're not bubble wrap teachers. They file incident reports each time and include pictures and details through the Brightwheel app. Staff: I stay rather engaged with the staff since they're taking care of the most precious little human in my life, and also because they're wonderful people who I enjoy talking with. They're always willing to tell me all about her day when I go pick her up and they never seem put off by how many questions I ask. And I ask a lot of questions. They take pictures to capture incredible moments that I would otherwise have missed since my wife and I are both working. They put in the time to teach her new things and help her engage with the other kids. They're always smiling with positive attitudes, and this means a lot to me. Turnover: We have seen a fair amount of staff turnover in our time here. That's life. People grow and move on. Some people don't do well with authority. Some people disagree on how things should be done. What I know is that the director has the interest of my daughter (and the other kids, I guess) at the core of her decision making. While I have been saddened to see some of our daughter's favorite teachers part ways, it would be silly to expect them to be there forever. Suggestions: If you have a half day for a staff meeting, parents should be credited half the day.

Our daughter has been attending messy monkeys for 6 months now. The staff is incredible and the teachers are so sweet in the toddler room. Our daughter absolutely loves going “to school” each day and she is very well cared for. They send frequent updates and photos throughout the day via the app which is so helpful and important to me as a working mom. The facility is extremely clean and I would recommend this daycare to anyone!

I decided to transfer my son from another West Ashley daycare due to having some concerns, and I could not be happier with that decision. Messy Monkey's has been absolutely wonderful. From the teachers all the way up to ownership, this education center truly cares. The facility is very clean, and the amount of wonderful updates I get throughout the day are so precious! Highly recommend them for your little one as well!

There aren’t enough words I can say about this daycare! The team here is so friendly and love my kids so much. I never worry when leaving my kids because I know they are in great hands. I highly recommend sending your child here!

We started at Messy Monkeys a month ago. Our daughter is in the one year old room. I was nervous to send our daughter to daycare because she has major stranger danger and I didn’t want her to get lost in the shuffle with a ton of kids. But Messy Monkeys has quelled my fears. All the staff know her name, so it’s clear she gets 1x1 attention. I get frequent updates and photos of her through the Bright Wheel app and she always looks well cared for. To top it off they organize special events that both the kids and the parents love - like picture day where we get amazing photos, and Mothers' day brunch where mama's get quality time with their babies in a place their babies love. Can't say enough good things!
