  • I initially thought Ms. Gayle was a nice lady and professional until I begin to receive calls stating that she has issues with my FIVE year old son. My baby attended this place for three days and by the second day I wanted to unenroll my son. She complained about him being active and made the claim that he wouldn’t listen to her. When we begin to question her about what exactly happened, she stated that it’s due to him having his foot on a chair. We paid for the whole week and never received a refund. This place lacks patience for small children and I would never recommend anyone to send their child here. My son is active and he’s supposed to be as a FIVE year old. She called and told my husband that my son could not return to the facility. We need more facilities like SC State CDLC that are for kids ages five and older. Mommy’s Time Out should be close for business.

  • They are very biased and Ms.Gayle is a very unprofessional director. They threatened to kick my kids out of their program about every 2 weeks. They require a covid test every time a child has the sniffles even when it's just allergies. My child was sick one week, I kept him out of school and daycare until he was fever free for 24 hours with no medicine before I sent him back. He ended up running a fever at the end of the next day and once again I was threatened with dismissal for something I was not aware of throughout the day. The staff gives attitude over the phone with simple questions. My children were getting bullied at this daycare and Ms. Gayle responded with "I would not have my children riding the daycare van if I believe they were being bullied, if that was the case. So mom you may need to make some other arrangements for your boys to get home from school since you believe they are being bullied. Thank you!" Her exact words from the text she sent this morning.

  • Initially I thought this was a great place; however, the director, Ms. Gayle is and can be very unprofessional. My grandchild has been there for a short period of time (2 months) and this is her first daycare. She enjoyed coming and love some of the staff members. As a parent/grandparent I expressed a concern and apparently you're not able to ask questions because my child was sent home with a letter stating that due to the concerns that she will no longer be able to attend as of that date. It is very unprofessional and uncourteous to send a dear john letter to a parent stating that the child can no longer attend after that day. My grandchild was crying hysterically one morning when dropped off and made a comment stating "please don't beat me or hit me" which is unusual for her to say. When I picked her up that afternoon I simply asked in a respectful tone what type of discipline they give the kids when they misbehave and how was her behavior. The conversation between myself and the staff member went really well and she assured me that they don't pop the kids and that her behavior was fine. I was totally shocked when my daughter mentioned the letter she received. Removing a 2 year old because the parent asked a question is ridiculous and to me unethical. Every parent has the right to be concern for their kids safety and what type of parent would I be if I didn't follow up. I don't know if there was any truth to what she (child) said and her(Child) reaction but the way the situation was handled was very unprofessional and petty. My 2 year old also mentioned that " the big kids be mean to me". For a 2 year old she's very fluent. This was not a big issue because I know how kids are and can be mean from time to time but my concern is why are the bigger kids mixed with the toddlers. So with that being said Mommy Time Out has some nice staff members but if you question them about anything your child may be dismissed abruptly without any care. Due to the lack of professionalism by the director Ms. Gayle I don't recommend.

  • Our little one have been a part of Mommy’s Time Out for several years. As a parent with high standards. We have thoroughly enjoyed every minute. All the teachers are Exceptional. It is not just a (Play) daycare, but a LEARNING care center. I am so sorry for those with bad experiences (the world is made of rules), believe me, you will not find another facility that is as caring, loving, and concern about the future of your little one. MOMMY TIME OUT is paving the way for ours….. Thanks Mommy Time Out for all you do!!!!!

  • My baby girl has been in there for a few weeks now and she loves it. I appreciate the communication the teachers have with me about what she’s doing day to day. Also the extra precautions they take to make sure all the babies are in good health (steering clear of COVID). I can tell that Ms.Gayle has a passion about the care, education & safety of the children.

  • I have read some nasty comments about Mrs. Gayle I disagree she is old school and firm and there is nothing wrong with that, my Foster Daughter Loves IT!! When I made initial contact she told me the do's and don'ts and what would not be tolerated and If I had an unruly child I may have taken offense. They teach these children manners and respect and help them with their homework. Simply put rules are rules. I feel good about my child being there count it a blessing they accepted her. It's clean you can smell freshness at the door. Those who had a problem with her were part of the problem!
