  • *ZERO STARS* Reviewing on behalf of my then-toddler/preschool son (daycare) and my then-late elementary school daughter (summer ""camp""), and myself. My first (honest) review on Google here was almost immediately deleted over a year ago, assuming by Cassi (is she still involved? No clue but she was awful). I won't make the mistake of not screenshotting in advance this time. DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE. I work in higher education and spend as much time as I can volunteering in my kids' elementary and middle schools. I only sent my son here because his daycare was destroyed in the 2020 tornadoes. I will try to stick to the facts: -The turnover was constant. I am well aware of the shortage of childcare providers and teachers in general and it is a huge issue. I pamper my kids' teachers as often as I can because they deserve the BEST - they are superheroes (uh, some were definitely not at GCA - one teacher aggressively offered OVER AND OVER AGAIN both in person and on socials to babysit my son after "school" hours which was disturbing. I once had to leave work because I was called when he had a 100.1 fever - OK, no worries at all - once I got there to pick him up, his temp was normal and 'teacher' said: "oh maybe it was because I was snuggling him in a blanket!" WHAT?! Why are you snuggling my child in a blanket and why are you snuggling him at all?!?!?) -More turnover: it got to the point that at least twice a week at dropoff, Cassi was interviewing someone new for a "teacher" position. The pay is low and it is not a healthy work culture. I witnessed multiple well-qualified, caring and dedicated teachers and Assistant Directors quit after Cassi became the Director. -Aaaand more turnover: my son constantly had a new teacher, a different teacher for the day, etc. and it was never communicated in advance. I'd be left wandering around the building trying to figure out where to drop off or pick up my kid (assuming the door keypad actually worked) - wasting time I needed to commute to work - mind you, I was a single Mom for the majority of this time. -Don't bother signing your kids up for summer "camp" They sit in the gym bored all day with zero structured activities. I could go on but it's not worth my time - nor are they worth your time or money. P.S. It got to be SO bad that I pulled him from their "care" right before summer started and at the last minute, even though both parents work full-time, I had to arrange three months of care for him because there was no way in *you know what* I was ever going to send him back there.

  • Wonderful school with caring Teachers. Ms. Jackie is amazing! She is the most patient and caring teacher my son has ever had. My son loves her and you can tell she truly enjoys what she does. She is always in such happy spirits and I can’t imagine my son going here without her. She has definitely impacted our lives. We love her and can not thank her enough for what she does!

  • This school has been such an incredible place for my children. The teachers and staff are so caring and genuine. My girls learn new things everyday and can't wait to go to school. I highly recommend this school.

What are the site rules at GENERATION CHANGERS ACADEMY?

The provider reports No Dogs, No Pets, No Smoking/Vaping, Near Public Transportation, No Cats, Wheelchair Accessible. These are self-reported to the state rather than verified at inspection, so confirm anything your child's health depends on directly.

No. Tennessee publishes a report card of licensing citations for each provider, and those are not included here, so nothing on this page reflects GENERATION CHANGERS ACADEMY's inspection history either way.
