The classroom teachers and caregivers at this daycare were consistently kind, nurturing, and clearly cared about the children during our time there. Our concerns arose primarily from our personal experiences with the daycare’s administration over approximately six months. In our experience, communication from the director felt dismissive at times when we raised routine parent concerns. There were several occasions when our children were sent home early due to illness-related concerns that, from our perspective as parents, did not align with how they appeared at home. We also experienced what felt like inconsistent application of illness policies, which made planning and consistency difficult for our family. On more than one occasion, the director offered opinions about our children’s health that we understood as medical in nature, which made us uncomfortable, as we prefer medical concerns to be addressed by healthcare professionals. Additionally, the infant room environment often felt hectic during drop-off and pick-up, and from our observation it appeared that staff were stretched thin. When we asked about staffing support, we were told that adding additional staff was not financially feasible. We also experienced differences between how our baby was fed at home and how feeding was handled at the daycare, which we felt did not align with our expectations as parents. During that time, our baby seemed unsettled and frequently upset, which was distressing for us. While the teachers appeared to genuinely want to provide good care, our overall experience led us to conclude that the management style was not a good fit for our family. For that reason, we chose to transition to another daycare, where communication and responsiveness have felt more aligned with our needs. Based on our personal experience, we would not recommend this daycare unless there are changes in management.
Kelsie MoonOct 31, 2025We have been taking our daughter to Kid City - Soddy Daisy for about a year and a half now and we love it. The director and staff are so caring, friendly, and engaging. She has a lot of fun while learning new things! She surprised us the other night by counting to 20 in Spanish. She's only three! Highly recommend.

We started pretty much right when this location opened and have seen the hard work that was put in to it. They have done a great job! We have recommended them to several friends so far!
Leah WilsonJan 4, 2024We love Kid City! I was nervous about returning to work and putting my daughter in full time daycare, but Kid City made the transition so much easier. The facility is safe and clean and the staff are amazing. My daughter’s teachers love and care for her like she’s one of their own children and she’s so happy to see them every day. They do cute crafts, have fun outdoor playtime, and do extra activities like Trunk or Treat at Halloween. There is a lot of communication between staff and parents and they send updates on an app throughout the day, including pictures. My daughter loves going here and I feel good knowing that she’s well cared for and having fun at daycare all day.
MICHELLE COBYDec 21, 2023Our son has grown to love going to “school.” He enjoys his teachers, and has shown great growth in his learning. He’s greeted with a hug in the morning and a warm welcome from his teachers. The staff have done a good job of communicating issues and providing us with the opportunity to collaborate and come up with solutions. They helped tremendously in the potty training process and were very patient with him. In the 1 year he’s been at Kid City, we’ve had only good experiences.
