  • My son is 4 months old in the centers infant classroom and I absolutely adore all the teachers and director. They always make sure to take pictures and send updates throughout the day to ensure my son is well taken care of. I highly recommend First Cumberland to anyone looks for good childcare! Some things that make First Cumberland the best childcare center • Nobody can get into the building without a key fob •They use the brightwheel app to post undated throughout the day • Provide lunch and snack using healthy balanced meals • They incorporate bible study and curriculum!

  • We moved to Chattanooga really not knowing anyone and researched the entire area while pregnant with our second child. I have to say, I am picky when it comes to where my children attend school / daycare. That said, I’ve been surprised that the facility has been as affordable as it’s been. They’re open long hours which has been helpful with mine and my husband’s chaotic work schedules, they are constantly in communication with the parents - whether it be updates on what your child ate / drank, where they’re adventuring (either on an on-site buggy ride or if they’ve ventured to another play area on campus), pictures of your kiddo being a kiddo that proves to be just what you needed at that moment in your day! They’re informative, they communicate well in advance barring unforeseen circumstances which happen anywhere, are open more days of the year than the local private schools even, and they’re genuinely kind people. The Director feels like family. Whether you know her well or not, she treats everyone like she’s known them forever and it’s always been an extraordinarily welcoming environment. The teachers are friendly and you feel certain that your child is truly important to them. A mother knows. You can tell EVERYTHING by how your child acts when they arrive at daycare, and my baby shows she trusts them, she’s happy to be there, or even if she’s half asleep (because she’s kept us up all night!), she willingly folds right into their snuggles while they gently wake her for her day. I’m truly grateful for these amazing, kind people who have dedicated themselves to caring for our children. I highly recommend this facility.

  • We love TLC! Our kids have been going here for 3 years and the staff have been kind, helpful, accommodating and safe. Our kids love going to daycare. They are safe and loved. The center has ample opportunities and spaces for motor development, singing, swimming, learning and playing. They have thrived since starting here! The administration and teachers communicate quickly and often. They also retain staff at a better rate than many other daycare centers because it’s a great place to work and be!

  • We have enrolled all three of our children at the daycare for the last 2 1/2 years and have nothing but amazing experiences. Our children are so cared and loved for and safe at this place. Our kids always look forward to their time here and our oldest, who already graduated, loves to come back to talk to his teachers about how school is going. If you’re looking for daycare in the area, don’t hesitate this is a great choice!

  • I cannot say enough good things about this place. My daughter has been with them since Fall of 2020 and loves it. She loves her teachers. The staff feels like family and makes a great effort to make your kids feel comfortable. I've had some things that have happened in my personal life and I've explained the situation to the staff. They were very understanding and gave my kids the extra care they needed. I'm amazed at the friendships my child has developed and myself with the other parents. I don't know what else to say except, words cannot express how grateful I am with this place.

  • My almost 4-year-old grandson has been lovingly cared for by the staff at First Cumberland since he was an infant. I am familiar with the day care and have met his teachers and staff. As one of his caregivers, I get to enjoy the daily communication, often with photos, from the staff, along with his parents. I observe that the staff are always kind, caring and serious about their responsibility to provide the best care for all the children, who are always happy and having fun. I find the staff friendly and helpful and the program supportive of my grandson’s positive development. First Cumberland is a wonderful part of our lives!
