On my daughter’s first day of care (2/23/26), Learning Zone Burkitt Commons was not prepared for her arrival. There was no designated crib or sleep space ready for my 6-month-old infant, and she was placed in another child’s space. The classroom teacher also shared that she had not been informed my daughter would be starting that day. The heat was not working when the center opened that morning, and when I picked her up nearly nine hours later the room and floors were still cold. My daughter felt very cold, was not wearing the cardigan she had on at drop-off, and came home with a runny nose despite being healthy that morning. Due to concerns about preparedness and the environment for infant care, I withdrew her the same day and requested a full refund of the tuition paid. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this center for infant care.
Sheila ZikusookaFeb 24, 2026We absolutely loved our experience at The Learning Zone. The teachers follow the set curriculum but also go above and beyond to prepare the kids for school in the future. I never worried about my kids when I dropped them off. I knew the staff would always treat them well and step in as needed. If we didn’t move out of the area we would have stayed until the kids hit school age. I highly recommend The Learning Zone!
Katie DePriestFeb 15, 2026This daycare has been a great fit for our family. The facility is always clean and organized, and the staff is patient, attentive, and easy to communicate with. We are always warmly greeted by Ms. Brittany and Ms. Abbie (the other woman sitting behind the desk.) Our child is treated with genuine care and affection, and it’s obvious they prioritize each child’s well-being. We’re so grateful to have found a place we trust.
Dallas PottsFeb 2, 2026We could not be happier with LZBC! The teachers are incredibly caring, patient, and genuinely invested in each child’s growth. My child has blossomed socially, emotionally, and academically since starting here!
Cristin BrewerFeb 2, 2026We’ve been at Learning Zone for 1.5 years and have had a great experience! The different teachers my son has had have all been kind, attentive, and truly care about the children. My son is very happy and enjoys going there every day. Communication has always been great and the environment is always clean. We’re very grateful for the care they provide and would highly recommend this daycare!
Denisse Perez-MoseleyDec 17, 2025Learning Zone of Burkitt Commons has been an incredible experience for our family as first-time parents. Like many, I was nervous about dropping my daughter off with people I didn’t know, but over time, the teachers have become so much more than strangers—they genuinely care for her and her growth. I am consistently amazed at the skills she’s learning at just 14 months old, such as blowing kisses, giving high-fives, and holding out her arms when it’s time to put on a coat—things my wife and I didn’t even teach her! It’s clear that the staff are not only nurturing but also deeply committed to fostering her development. We couldn’t imagine a better environment for her to thrive while we’re at work. I’m so grateful for the care and attention she receives every day.

Questions parents ask about Learning Zone Burkitt Commons
Is Learning Zone Burkitt Commons a licensed child care provider in Tennessee?
- Yes. Learning Zone Burkitt Commons holds Tennessee licence TN-1365, listed as "LICENSED" by the Department of Human Services, Child Care Services in Davidson County. Confirm current standing on the state's child care provider map at onedhs.tn.gov before enrolling.
What is Learning Zone Burkitt Commons's star rating in Tennessee?
- Tennessee publishes no star rating for Learning Zone Burkitt Commons. A provider without a rating has not been assessed under the Star-Quality programme rather than been rated poorly, and it is licensed and inspected either way.
What are Learning Zone Burkitt Commons's hours?
- The state record lists 7:00 AM-6:00 PM. Tennessee publishes the daily window but not which days it applies to, and hours change without the licence record changing, so call ahead.
What are the site rules at Learning Zone Burkitt Commons?
- The provider reports No Dogs, No Pets, No Smoking/Vaping, No Cats, Wheelchair Accessible. These are self-reported to the state rather than verified at inspection, so confirm anything your child's health depends on directly.
Does this page show inspection results for Learning Zone Burkitt Commons?
- No. Tennessee publishes a report card of licensing citations for each provider, and those are not included here, so nothing on this page reflects Learning Zone Burkitt Commons's inspection history either way. Look the provider up on the state's child care provider map at onedhs.tn.gov and read its report card.
