  • Two of my children went here. One of them had a great experience, the other one not so much. The three-year-old classroom has great teachers and the one year-old classroom has great teachers on and off. In the one-year-old classroom I would say my biggest complaint is them not being able to keep an eye on the kids like they should letting them bite hit and scratch each other more than it should be happening, I personally walked in on a child alone in the lobby Like a week before we stopped attending here. The teacher did not know she was there. The kids are horribly dirty when you pick them up and thirsty and hungry some of their snacks that needs assistance opening by the teacher are never open. My daughter that they seem to have issues with is only one years old if you cannot handle a one-year-old I’m not sure what age child you are able to handle. Really need to evaluate these teachers better before hiring them to watch people’s kids and instead of kicking the kids out when the parents has issues just listen to them. They also kept giving My Baby Tylenol without my permission, me clearly writing on a paper do not give her Tylenol without calling me for biting students in the classroom and supposedly to help her teething, but did you really just want her to go to sleep so you didn’t have to deal with her? Then I went online on Facebook, looking for a new daycare, and the teachers went on there and not anonymously, calling My Baby names and saying that I shouldn’t be looking for new care for her. She’s only one if she has special needs I may not even know that yet because she does go to her pediatrician regularly. I just think it’s kind of sick to be making fun of a baby having issues with biting and it’s fine that you kicked her out, but she was also getting bit hit and scratched as well. It’s funny she got kicked out to the week. The cameras were gonna be rolling. I don’t believe she was biting anyone at all. I believe they did not like me complaining about the teachers and just kicked her out to make things easier on their selves. I took my three year-old out too because it made me not trust them anymore. She had not been getting any write ups or a lot of complaints on the apps when she got kicked out it happened when I told them that that little girl was alone in the lobby and no one knew about it

  • I wish I could give a 10 star. Firstly, This is not a sponsored or forced post. I legit searched Legacy to put this review. Having taken my child through several daycare. This is the best day care hands down. My son is non-verbal and was worried my son may not be cared for as i would love. I kid you not. Legacy beat down all my worries. My boy is the happiest when he goes in and comes out daily. The atmosphere and environment is so neat and very well coordinated, they are very big on potty training which I love. The teachers are omg! The kindest, chillest, loving and very respectful teachers. They check/ send me messages on app to understand and care for my son seeking my opinion & ideas. I am daily wowed at the excellence of this daycare. Thank you to Margaret and the wonderful teachers especially Elizabeth. I am truly grateful.

  • Thank you for your consistent communication and prioritization of safety! Legacy goes above and beyond updating parents throughout the day. They ALWAYS send text communications regarding unsafe behaviors, which is addressed through redirection, positive reinforcement, one-on-one guidance, and changes to the classroom setting. Legacy has gone above and beyond trying to help students overcome dangerous and delayed behaviors, and after exhausting all resources- if those behaviors are STILL beyond their scope of expertise, Legacy continues to give extra recommendations and resources to the families. I couldn’t be happier with the level of communication and professionalism from this facility.

Is Legacy Childcare a licensed child care provider in Tennessee?

Yes. Legacy Childcare holds Tennessee licence TN-755, listed as "LICENSED" by the Department of Human Services, Child Care Services in Knox County. Confirm current standing on the state's child care provider map at onedhs.tn.gov before enrolling.

What is Legacy Childcare's star rating in Tennessee?

Tennessee publishes no star rating for Legacy Childcare. A provider without a rating has not been assessed under the Star-Quality programme rather than been rated poorly, and it is licensed and inspected either way.

What are Legacy Childcare's hours?

The state record lists 7:00 AM-5:30 PM. Tennessee publishes the daily window but not which days it applies to, and hours change without the licence record changing, so call ahead.

What programmes does Legacy Childcare take part in?

The state record lists Certificate Program.

What are the site rules at Legacy Childcare?

The provider reports No Pets, No Smoking/Vaping, No Cats, Wheelchair Accessible, No Dogs. These are self-reported to the state rather than verified at inspection, so confirm anything your child's health depends on directly.

Does this page show inspection results for Legacy Childcare?

No. Tennessee publishes a report card of licensing citations for each provider, and those are not included here, so nothing on this page reflects Legacy Childcare's inspection history either way. Look the provider up on the state's child care provider map at onedhs.tn.gov and read its report card.
