  • We have had nothing short of an amazing experience at little oaks. Our family has been with little oaks for 3 years. I feel my children are safe and well cared for. All the staff know my children and say hello and goodbye to my kids by name, even when they’re not my child’s teacher and I don’t know the staff member’s name myself. There is an expected amount of turn over with college aged teachers (oh to have that energy!), but much of the staff have been there since before we started. The education is top notch. My son was singing the alphabet at 2 years old; which I didn’t even know was possible (I certainly didn’t teach him that). The playground time and activities are great. I love getting the weekly class plan and daily pictures. Everything feels well rounded and catered to the kiddos. I have no doubt my kids will be ready for kindergarten (too fast!). I’m honestly floored that the ratings are so low. I know there have been staffing changes that have improved things, and one of the negative reviews was from someone that didn’t like the wait list during peak COVID, so do your due diligence as a parent and really research and visit little oaks. Remember people are more likely to use the internet for negativity than to rave about their experience. I think you’ll find this place is a diamond in the rough.

  • LOA has truly become a second home for our family. My daughter absolutely adores her teachers and feels so comfortable and happy there. Every morning when we pull into the parking lot, she shouts “HOME!”—and that’s exactly what LOA feels like to us. I’ve grown close to several of the teachers, and it’s so clear how much they care for each and every child. The love, patience, and dedication they show every day means the world to us. After being part of the LOA family for over a year, we decided to try a daycare closer to home for convenience—but after just two short weeks, we came right back. The difference in care and connection was undeniable. We couldn’t be happier to be back where our daughter is so loved, supported, and thriving. We are beyond grateful for LOA and can’t recommend it highly enough!

  • I am so thankful that we found Little Oaks Academy for child care. We now have two daughters being cared for in this community and I would recommend this center to anyone looking for a place for their little ones to be loved and cared for when they are away from home. We love the teachers and the staff at Little Oaks. It's more than a daycare. I love when teachers not over the classrooms for my girls walk past my us in the hallway and call them by name and share something special with me about their personality. When we need someone to care for our girls on after hours and weekends, we choose teachers from Little Oaks because of how much we know they love and care for our girls. The staff and parents that devote their time and energy to this daycare make it truly special. Having the parent led board of directors give parents a voice and an opportunity to be involved and make a difference.

  • Our son has been enrolled at LOA for over 2 years and it has been an incredible experience. The teachers and staff genuinely care about the well-being and development of each child. Despite whatever number of other classmates my son has had through different rooms and teachers according to his age level, I’ve always felt like the teachers are invested in each child as an individual. I’ve never felt like my child is simply being baby sat at Little Oaks but has a complete staff of all-stars looking to develop and nurture him as he grows into the world around him. Not only is day care one of the biggest financial investments parents have to make but there is also the anxiety associated with leaving your child in the care of others. Simply put there is no group of folks I would trust more to help develop and care for my son than the teachers, office staff, and board at Little Oaks Academy.

  • I have had three kids in Little Oaks over the past six years with one still currently attending. All of the teachers we’ve had were fantastic and loving to our children, and our current teachers are fantastic as well. Overall, I’ve had great experiences with both the teaching and administrative staff. I also appreciate the fact that LOA is a nonprofit that is driven by a board of parent volunteers making it feel more like a community than a business. I would (and often do) recommend it to anyone seeking childcare.

What are the site rules at Little Oaks Academy?

The provider reports No Pets, No Smoking/Vaping, Wheelchair Accessible, No Dogs, No Cats, Near Public Transportation. These are self-reported to the state rather than verified at inspection, so confirm anything your child's health depends on directly.

Does this page show inspection results for Little Oaks Academy?

No. Tennessee publishes a report card of licensing citations for each provider, and those are not included here, so nothing on this page reflects Little Oaks Academy's inspection history either way.
