  • Pleasant View Learning Center was a terrible experience for my child. He was sent home in clothes that weren’t his, there were two cases of hand‑foot‑and‑mouth going around, and the center has no cleaning crew despite clearly being able to afford one. The walls were damaged and never fixed, and on multiple occasions he was supposedly “monitored” while eating rocks (a huge safety issue). After giving notice that we were leaving, the director claimed she never received it and still tried to charge us. At nearly $900 a month with poor cleanliness, unsafe supervision, and a director who refuses to hire enough staff, this place felt like glorified babysitting, not a real learning center. I never felt comfortable dropping my son off, and I would not recommend this center to any parent.

  • Pleasant View Learning Center ??? My expectations were set High. Being recommended by a member as well as a ton of my hometown Friends who knew we were relocating back to the City. Having custody of both my Grand kids, my grandson was enrolled at PVLC . To the Purple room ,to this day I couldn't tell anyone his teacher's name ,nor have I been introduced as to say Hello ,I am your grandsons homeroom teacher this year. I found it odd that there was rarely a consistent teacher. And that he doesn't know his own teacher's name . His previous care center He knew MR.Daren ,Mrs Shelia and talked about them constantly It is odd not have a kid not talk about ,nor know his teachers name. The front Desk Staff Truly the best. I'm in Business and I know it starts at the Front desk ..then it drops off Staff wise. Upon a good start ,later down the road it was said there was a lot of pushing.shoving,hitting,spitting,kicking. You name it he was doing it .Which I have never witnessed even at the public playgrounds each afternoon we play ,or anytime. Not to say this was not happening .I was willing to work on solutions .This got to the point were it was a daily incident from there to 2-3 incidents per day to the point of picking him up close 3 times back to back .My shop is currently in Bentwood TN with traffic 1 1/2 hour drive. As soon as I'd open up shop .I'd have to drive back to get him .Upon meeting with the Director she lead me to believe they were willing to work with Him . She had Said to have Contacted Tennessee Voices to have a worker come out and work with him(which she did) ,PVLC called me last Friday to come to pick him up from school,And then she tells me we are Suspending our services .Keep in mind I have asked to come and sit and observer the class to see what is provoking this type of behavior, to better have a grasp on what's going on because this is not an at home behavior. They told me that the would have to get that approved by the STATE!!!! When most daycare's have and OPEN DOOR POLICY .. If you're allowed to walk your son or Daughter to the classroom that is an open door policy .Which should allow you to observe your kids classroom. Most daycare encourage involvement with parent/teacher/Student Why not this one . A State Orders would have been No problem I would gave her my lawyers business card and we would have been happy to sign it . have State custody so no problem there . The thing is they kicked him out before Tennessee Voices could come help it was already set up for help Tennessee Voices were willing to help WHY wasn't Pleasant View learning Center !!!!There is some reason we cant Observe Class rooms ...I stated I'm willing to do whatever to help just let me come see what's happening in the classroom !!!!!!!Disappointment ..My Hometown Wow,,,, lets Work Together for Solutions

  • I cannot say enough wonderful things about PVLC! From the moment you walk in, you are greeted by the friendliest staff who genuinely care about your child. The owner is incredibly attentive and her warm, loving nature sets the tone for the entire center. The teachers are nothing short of amazing—kind, patient, and truly dedicated to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for the children. My 2 year old looks forward to going every day, and it's clear that the whole team goes above and beyond to create a safe and joyful place for all the kids. Highly recommend!

Is Pleasant View Learning Center a licensed child care provider in Tennessee?

Yes. Pleasant View Learning Center holds Tennessee licence TN-701, listed as "LICENSED" by the Department of Human Services, Child Care Services in Cheatham County. Confirm current standing on the state's child care provider map at onedhs.tn.gov before enrolling.

What is Pleasant View Learning Center's star rating in Tennessee?

Tennessee publishes no star rating for Pleasant View Learning Center. A provider without a rating has not been assessed under the Star-Quality programme rather than been rated poorly, and it is licensed and inspected either way.

What are Pleasant View Learning Center's hours?

The state record lists 6:00 AM-6:00 PM. Tennessee publishes the daily window but not which days it applies to, and hours change without the licence record changing, so call ahead.

What are the site rules at Pleasant View Learning Center?

The provider reports No Smoking/Vaping, Wheelchair Accessible. These are self-reported to the state rather than verified at inspection, so confirm anything your child's health depends on directly.

Does this page show inspection results for Pleasant View Learning Center?

No. Tennessee publishes a report card of licensing citations for each provider, and those are not included here, so nothing on this page reflects Pleasant View Learning Center's inspection history either way. Look the provider up on the state's child care provider map at onedhs.tn.gov and read its report card.
