Rocky Top Academy Farragut

My 2 youngest have been going to Rocky Top for 2 years now. We love the staff they are amazing. They are great to us I definitely recommend anyone looking for child care to Rocky Top. They always do great activities for the kids and put on events for the family. My 2 year old can count and say her alphabet! They are not only taking care of your babies with love but they are teaching them. I trust them they are great!

If I could give zero stars at this point I would! We absolutely loved this place for the last few years, but the last 4 months have been an absolute nightmare. Not only have we pulled our child out of the center. We gave a two week notice and did all the steps they asked. They have now charged me for a deposit- which again we paid at the beginning of this journey and now again charged us another fee. Misty, Amy, and Karisha are great and I know it’s not on them, it’s billing! I’ve emailed and called several times to get more answers. The last few months we started noticing little things happening in the classroom- it’s poor class management. When I brought the concerns up, they agreed. What’s that say though? It’s accepted, not changed.

I’ve been really happy here. Staff is always friendly and I have no complaints in how they treat or care for my child, as I have with other childcare centers in Farragut. They have helped me successfully potty train my 2 year old which, as any parent will know, has been a dream. They have made a ton of great changes in the past year, so take old reviews with a grain of salt. They were also quick to get us in and didn’t play games with a long waitlist.

Kiddie Kottage has been the perfect fit for us. We have had two children in the threes and pre-K. Ms. Anne Marie is an amazing teacher. She is regimented and teaches these students, everything done in the classroom is purposefully planned. She makes learning fun and my daughter is blossoming in her speech, social skills, and writing. I’ve had nothing but good interactions and experiences here. I love the posts and photographs of what is happening the classroom throughout the day. The staff here work hard and love these kids. My daughter would cry nonstop going into our previous childcare center. Here, she talks about her teacher and friends and is excited to walk in. This speaks volumes to me. My son graduated from their pre-k program last year and he still talks about Anne Marie.

I enrolled my son in this school from approximately 6 weeks to 1 year old, after which I had to re-locate for work. Two months after he started there, the 1st of the Covid lockdowns began. Not only did this school keep my newborn safe and healthy during this time, the amount of learning and growing he did at school was clearly evident, and he really enjoyed socializing with other babies (and especially being with Ms. Amanda!). One of the leading factors that would have made me turn down my new job and stay in Knoxville was the fact that I hated to pull my son out of this school. If I ever find myself back in the area with young children, this will be the first place I look for daycare.
