Step Forward Day School

As a parent, I feel like I need to say something because what’s going on at this center is honestly concerning. At first, everything seems fine on the surface, smiles, photos, and friendly greetings, but after a while, you start to notice the inconsistency. Staff turnover is very high, and it makes you wonder why so many teachers keep leaving. Children need stability, and that just doesn’t seem to be a priority here. Communication is also very selective. Certain issues are addressed immediately, while others are brushed off or quietly handled behind the scenes. As a parent, that lack of transparency is unsettling. We trust these centers with our children, and we deserve honesty. I’ve also noticed that some teachers who genuinely care and connect with the kids don’t seem to last long, which raises even more questions about the environment behind closed doors. With everything I’ve been hearing lately, including concerns being raised at a higher level, I would strongly encourage other parents to ask questions, stay observant, and not ignore their instincts. Our kids deserve a safe, supportive, and consistent environment, and right now, I’m not fully confident that this place is providing that.

We have been at Step Forward for several years. We are so happy we found it! The teachers are top notch and spend so much energy and attention on the children. We hate to leave but know that we are are well prepared for Kindergarten thanks to Step Forward!

We have truly had the BEST experience with Step Forward! My 3 & 5 year olds love going to school. Every time I drop them off I feel the love of the teachers, community and I know my kids get that all day. It's the best feeling for a mom! They have learned so much here and I adore how the kids are outside SOO much! I feel my kids childhood and growth are really nurtured here. Also, the junior kindergarten class is an awesome option for kids right before kindergarten! Ms. Tracy and team- you rock. Thank you for all you do. What a Franklin gem here. SO lucky we found SF!!

This school is wonderful!! My son was here only a short time until we moved out of state but he really enjoyed his time here and was excited to go. Tracy the director is very attentive as is the rest of the staff. Very clean and organized school. I love how everyday they would keep parents updated on what their kids are doing during the day with updates and photos. Everyone here seems so nurturing and definitely got good vibes here :)

We switched my children from another prominent daycare over to A Step Forward 2 years ago. It was the best decision I have ever made. If you want a private school feeling for your family you cannot go wrong. The amount of love, learning and support from the teachers and administration is unbelievable. As a parent you want the best learning opportunity for your kids and they to feel excited about school. The teachers have been there for many years and are mothers, grandmother's themselves. My children get gitty to go to school everyday and see their teachers. My 4 year old says, "Mommy I Love School*. A Step Forward deserves 10 stars over 5!
