We attended this daycare for about five months with our child. We genuinely enjoyed getting to know his teachers, and our child was generally happy at drop-off and especially enjoyed playing outdoors. Unfortunately, our overall experience was overshadowed by a serious ongoing issue with biting. Our son, who was around one year old at the time, was bitten repeatedly, approximately 10 times over the course of our enrollment. Each time, we were notified through the parent portal and asked to sign an incident form at pickup, but there was little to no follow-up beyond that. When my husband and I raised concerns separately with upper management, the response was consistently along the lines of “kids will be kids” and “there’s not a lot you can do at this age.” When I asked about their biting policy, I was told that a child would only be sent home after biting three times in one day. After the first few incidents, the director mentioned possibly reading a “no biting” book and looking into moving children around, but we never received any further communication about whether those steps were actually taken. As the biting continued, we were never given reassurance that the other child’s parents were being actively engaged or that a plan was in place to reduce the behavior. I also requested a meeting with the assistant director to express my concerns and disappointment with how the situation was handled. I ultimately felt that either closer supervision or more proactive intervention was lacking, as the incidents continued without meaningful change. I wish I had known ahead of time how limited the response would be to a repeated safety issue. For this reason, I would not recommend this daycare to other parents, particularly those with younger children who cannot advocate for themselves.
Megan WrightJan 8, 2026The staff is great here. My daughter has been enrolled since she was 4 months old since we don't have family in the area. The staff helped get her through milestones and move her to the next class as she progresses. I love that the facility makes it a point for every staff member to remember each child's name. It really helped her to learn her name. There's an app that tells what time she's napped, eaten, had diaper changes, and daily photos. They provide breakfast in the morning to socialize and meet other folks. My baby always comes home happy!
Amy CheaOct 25, 2025The Academy of Maryland Farms has been an amazing experience for us and I highly recommend! Teka and Heather are excellent directors, and our daughter’s primary daycare teachers (Melissa, Marquelette, Sabrina, Alexis) have been wonderful- they have all been highly communicative, kind, and caring. This place will forever hold a special place in our hearts- if you are considering infant care options, I highly recommend Academy of Maryland Farms.
Grace CampbellJul 18, 2025I am so grateful for AOMF, my daughter has so many amazing teachers who have loved on her so well and she is only a year and a half! Each teacher has been so kind and supportive, I truly feel like I have a tribe helping me raise my daughter. In addition to this, my daughter is enrolled in therapy services, and the directors have been very flexible in working with staff to accommodate these services. My child's developmental therapist was amazed at the staff and support at AOMF when she last visited. She specifically highlighted the staff's kindness, collaboration and care for my daughter. In addition to this, my family has witnessed the kindness, warmth and support firsthand.
Sarah BurkeMay 29, 2025We have nothing but positive and great things to say about The Academy of Maryland Farms! We have a 2 year old who has been here since she was 4 months old. Every teacher she has had knows and greets her by her first name, even after she has transitioned out of the class. Our daughter has also thrived educationally and socially by being here. It’s a family environment and the teachers and executive staff do a great job of communicating daily updates with parents. You can genuinely tell that everyone on the staff cares about the well being of the children and that the staff works well together. I highly recommend The Academy of Maryland Farms to anyone who is looking for a great environment for their child and/or children.
Sekou TylerFeb 1, 2023We love Academy of Maryland farms. After looking into and visiting too many schools around Nashville area, my husband and I walked into this school and we knew it was the school we wanted to send our daughter. She loved the ambiance of the school and her teacher. The class rooms are bright and play area is very safe. My daughter loves to go outdoors and she does not call it a daycare, she says she wants to go to friends. You just get this good and positive energy as soon as you walk in and to top it off the staff is amazing too!!! They take good care of our daughter and they give us daily update on her progress. She is always excited to go visit her friends at the school. Great place for to call it home away from home...
