My 3-year-old is very selective about where she feels comfortable. At home she usually wants to stay close to me—even if I step upstairs for a minute, she’s likely to come looking for me. That’s why it means so much that she genuinely looks forward to coming here every week. From the moment we walk in, the staff greets her by name, which makes her feel seen and welcome. Check-in is quick and easy with the digital tablet, and they give her a name sticker with her age and pickup time, making the process organized and reassuring. Most importantly, she loves being there. She happily goes off to play, which is something she doesn’t do just anywhere. Seeing her excited to attend and comfortable enough to explore, play, and interact with the staff gives me so much peace of mind. As a parent, there’s nothing better than knowing your child feels safe, happy, and cared for. I’m so grateful to have found a place she truly enjoys.
TyResha PollardJul 16, 2026We’ve been using Children’s Playroom Drop-In Daycare for the past 6 months, starting when our son was just 5 months old, and it has truly been a lifesaver for our family. My husband and I both work in the service industry, so we don’t have the typical Monday–Friday schedule and often need care on weekends. Having a flexible, trustworthy daycare has made such a difference for us. We absolutely love Monica and her team at the Belle Meade location, and the few times we’ve used the Brentwood location we’ve been just as happy. Everyone is so kind, detailed, and genuinely loving toward our son. It gives us so much peace of mind knowing he’s being cared for by people who truly care. We’re so grateful to have found them and highly recommend Children’s Playroom to any family looking for dependable, caring childcare!
Bernadette KashaMay 27, 2026Any time you see a series of 5 star reviews all posted in the same week when that hasn't happened in the past it immediately raises suspicion of their legitimacy. Offering credit or other things in exchange for positive reviews is illegal, so I hope that's not what is going on here. Anyway, I'd stay far away. Definitely won't be taking my kid anywhere near here again. So many times when I'd go for pickup and dropoff there's one employee for 10+ kids. That's against state regulations for childcare facilities (including drop in facilities like this one). It led to my kid getting injured twice in the last two visits, once when an employee was holding him WHILE TAKING A PIZZA OUT OF THE OVEN. He will have a scar on his knee for a long time because of his burn. Good luck getting a copy of an incident report, because if they do file them, I never saw one. They also changed records after the fact when we expressed concern that our 18 month old wasn't being fed or changed only once in a 7 hour period. Ownership changed hands recently. Our problems began with this change. Let's see if the response below is diplomatic.
Matt HApr 23, 2026We’ve had such a wonderful experience with this drop-in daycare! From the moment we walked in, the environment felt warm, clean, and welcoming. It’s such a relief knowing you can leave your child somewhere that feels safe, structured, and genuinely caring—especially when you need flexible, last-minute care. What really sets this place apart is Monica, the supervisor. She goes above and beyond to make sure every child is cared for and every parent feels comfortable. You can tell she truly loves what she does—she’s attentive, organized, and always has a smile on her face. Monica takes the time to get to know each child and makes sure they feel included and happy. That kind of leadership really shows in how smoothly everything runs. The staff overall are kind, patient, and engaged with the kids, and I always feel confident leaving my child here. It’s been such a positive experience for our family, and I highly recommend this daycare to anyone looking for reliable, high-quality drop-in care.
StellaApr 22, 2026My 1 year old daughter was there on Valentine’s Day, fell extremely ill with a 103 fever. We asked the day care if anyone was sick they confirmed the same worker who had my daughter that day had Covid the week before.. what do you know my daughter tested POSITIVE for COVID and has been struggling with respiratory problems and illness. My wife and I now days later are sick as well. The daycare provided no help almost well what do you want us to do mentality. I’m not sure maybe some remorse for being so negligent? My daughter has been EXTREMELY ill for days now. Never again. Word of advice, get your kids checked if they were there around Valentine’s Day.. they too might have gotten Covid from their employees. Thanks for nothing but grief.
Nicholas DiPietroFeb 19, 2026The Children's Playroom has been nothing short of a blessing to my family. We moved here knowing no one, and I found myself needing help with the kids weekly. Everyone here, specifically Miss Monica is so caring and helpful. They take time to do crafts and activities throughout the day and ensure every kiddo is safe and has fun. We love it here! I feel safe leaving the kids and they always have a blast. 10/10 recommend for anyone unsure!

Questions parents ask about The Children's Playroom (Drop-In Ctr)
Is The Children's Playroom (Drop-In Ctr) a licensed child care provider in Tennessee?
- Yes. The Children's Playroom (Drop-In Ctr) holds Tennessee licence TN-1046, listed as "LICENSED" by the Department of Human Services, Child Care Services in Davidson County. Confirm current standing on the state's child care provider map at onedhs.tn.gov before enrolling.
What is The Children's Playroom (Drop-In Ctr)'s star rating in Tennessee?
- Tennessee publishes no star rating for The Children's Playroom (Drop-In Ctr). A provider without a rating has not been assessed under the Star-Quality programme rather than been rated poorly, and it is licensed and inspected either way.
What are The Children's Playroom (Drop-In Ctr)'s hours?
- The state record lists 8:00 AM-11:00 PM. Tennessee publishes the daily window but not which days it applies to, and hours change without the licence record changing, so call ahead.
What are the site rules at The Children's Playroom (Drop-In Ctr)?
- The provider reports No Dogs, No Smoking/Vaping, No Pets, Near Public Transportation, No Cats. These are self-reported to the state rather than verified at inspection, so confirm anything your child's health depends on directly.
Does this page show inspection results for The Children's Playroom (Drop-In Ctr)?
- No. Tennessee publishes a report card of licensing citations for each provider, and those are not included here, so nothing on this page reflects The Children's Playroom (Drop-In Ctr)'s inspection history either way. Look the provider up on the state's child care provider map at onedhs.tn.gov and read its report card.
