The Reggio Academy

Finding Reggio Academy has been game changing for my little guy! My kid is really shy and speech delayed, but after being with Ms Shatavia and Ms Danielle in the sprouts class for about 6 months he’s a whole new kid! He’s talking nonstop, even in public, has made great friends. And just loves going to school. We’re so glad we moved him over.

Feel like we hit the daycare lottery with The Reggio Academy! We have both our children there and the intentional time they receive to learn, grow, and be challenged in a healthy way is beyond rewarding. Sierra, Cheyenne, and Mila with our littlest have helped her through some tough toddler times with grace and patience. Our oldest has grown so much and loves to tell us what she does each day with her class lead by Shatavia & Danielle. Many mornings she also asks to go in the the “big kids” class with Ms Carina. They also have amazing assistance with Faith and Monica. Owned & Operated by Ms Amanda, she’s incredibly present and has cultivated an environment where not only have the children bonded, but the parents have as well. We’re so grateful for this built-in tribe at TRA!

The Reggio Academy is such a special place. Our daughter has been attending TRA for about 2 months now and we couldn’t be happier. After a few negative experiences with other childcare places, I am extremely cautious and picky about where I send my child for care. TRA has been the light at the end of the tunnel for our family. Ms. Sierra & Ms. Mila are such wonderful people and educators. My daughter often has a difficult time at drop off and literally jumps into Ms. Sierra’s arms when she sees her. Ms. Mila is attentive with the children and always engaging with them. We love Ms. Amanda and TRA and would highly recommend this school.

Reggio is an amazing place for your child to attend. I taught preschool for several years, so when it was time for us to choose a school for our daughter, my standards were very high. Reggio checks all the boxes, I know my daughter is safe, she is being challenged and given the freedom to explore. Miss Danielle, is an amazing teacher and helped my daughter transition into the classroom. She started off crying (this was her first time being away from me) and Miss Danielle would get down on her level and encourage her, she made her feel safe.

We’ve been with Reggio Academy since they first opened last August, and I can confidently say this is the best decision we’ve made for our kids’ care. Ms. Sierra, Ms. Shatavia, and the assistant director, Ms. Carina, have all been wonderfully consistent, caring, and supportive with both of our children from day one. Their love, patience, and communication truly set them apart — it’s clear they genuinely care about every child who walks through the door. Even after some life changes, we still choose to commute to Reggio Academy because we know our kids are in exceptional hands and we wouldn’t find this level of care anywhere else. I also really appreciate their thoughtful hours that accommodate working parents like us and the fact that they don’t close for every holiday — it makes a big difference for families juggling busy schedules. We feel so lucky to have found them!
