I brought my one year-old to the Alta children’s center in March. She doesn’t go to daycare at home, so the drop off separation anxiety was really hard for her. The teachers were so nurturing and gave her so much individual attention to help with the transition. By the end of the day, she didn’t want to leave. After three days, she stopped looking back at me during drop off. She loved the afternoon bounce house.
Melissa SacksMay 1, 2026Our son had the best time at the Alta Children's Center! The staff is incredibly professional, friendly and attentive. They sent us multiple photos of our little guy throughout the afternoon! They had many fun activities for him to enjoy!! He was smiling from ear to ear when we picked him up, which a testament to the quality and loving care he received and fun he had! Thank you kindly!!
oanh edwardsApr 8, 2026We sent our children (4.5 & 2.5 yrs) to Alta Children’s Center in March 2026. The teachers at the center are wonderful and engaging. Even with challenging drop off with the littlest, they handled things seamlessly. Most of the days, the kids got out playing in the snow which I loved and they did a great job keeping us updated with pictures. I also LOVE that you can reserve days and then they will true you up at the end - for example, we reserved 5 whole days but on days both kids skied with us for an hour in the morning, we were only charged the mid-day rate. This flexibility made capturing quality family time so much easier! I wish more ski areas had children’s centers like this!
Melissa FortinMar 26, 2026We made last minute reservations at cliff spa to get some r&r after skiing and needed childcare. We couldn’t get a hold of the childcare center at snowbird. They don’t answer their phone at all nor responded to the email that they directed us to in the automated voicemail. My friends said to try childcare Alta. I am SO glad I did. I had to call because I couldn’t book online due to it being <48 hr window. Ilse picked up right away and was able to guide me. She checked ratios and said they had room for my kids. The location was easy to find and very welcoming. They had cubbies already labeled with my kids names! I did not bring anything, not even a water bottle because I forgot, and they took care of everything. Midday 10a-3pm was great. It included lots of play, lunch, and snack. Even my older child who was initially not enthused had a ton of fun. They do it all - indoor, outdoor, crafts, naps, etc. they sent pics and communicated throughout their time there. I would not hesitate to use them again. Reliable, communicates well, and all the kiddos were happy!
Yoonhee Hong ChoiMar 19, 2026We had such a wonderful experience with Alta Children’s Center. The staff is incredibly attuned to each child’s individual needs and truly meets them where they are, providing such thoughtful, personalized care. It never felt like a one-size-fits-all environment—they really take the time to understand each child. The space felt clean, calm, and really well run, which immediately put me at ease. Communication was excellent—throughout the day, they send updates, which made it so reassuring to stay connected while on the mountain, and they provide a helpful end-of-day summary so you know exactly how everything went. It genuinely allowed us to enjoy skiing without worrying. I also really appreciated that you can check in at any time, and even breastfeed if needed—it made the whole experience feel so comfortable and accommodating. Most importantly, the team is kind, warm, and trustworthy. I’m a very protective mom—my son is 12 months old, has never had a babysitter, and isn’t in daycare—so leaving him anywhere was a big step for me. But I trusted the team at Alta Children’s Center very quickly, which says everything. I would absolutely recommend them to any family.
Savannah GiuglianoMar 18, 2026⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I wanted to take a moment to give credit where it’s truly deserved — and in this case, it is incredibly deserved. We have been bringing our children to Ilse’s childcare program at Alta and Snowbird for the past four years, ever since we moved to Utah, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about her and the program she has built. Our oldest son started going when he was two years old, and now our youngest — who is just three months old — is in her care as well. Normally, I would never consider putting a baby that young into childcare, but Ilse is the rare exception. I trust her completely. From the moment you meet her, you can feel the warmth, intention, and love she brings to every child she cares for. Ilse truly feels like someone who is walking in her calling. The way she treats each child with kindness, purpose, and genuine joy is remarkable. Every child in her care is seen, valued, and nurtured. As a parent, there is nothing more comforting than knowing your children are not just safe — they are truly cherished. She has also built an incredible team. The people she hires reflect the same heart, warmth, and professionalism that she brings herself, and it’s clear she is intentional about bringing in only the very best people to care for the children. My kids absolutely love going and always leave happier and brighter than when they arrived. The environment she creates is fun, positive, and incredibly thoughtful. The program itself is fantastic as well. She offers flexible daily rates and packages that work well whether you are a local family like us or visiting the resorts from out of town. Skiing is one of the main reasons we moved here, but enjoying it with young children can be challenging. Because of Ilse, we can spend time on the mountain knowing our kids are being loved, cared for, and having fun. And depending on your child’s age, she even makes it possible to pick them up during the day to take them skiing, which we absolutely loved doing with our oldest. If you are skiing at Alta or Snowbird and looking for childcare you can truly trust, Ilse’s program is an absolute gem. It is hands down the best ski resort childcare we have ever experienced, and we feel incredibly lucky to have found her and her team. In addition to her winter childcare program, Ilse also runs an incredible summer camp for children 6 and older. It is easily one of the best programs in the valley — an amazing option for local families as well as those visiting Utah in the summer who want their kids to have a truly fun and memorable experience.
