  • We’ve had a wonderful experience with Discovery Kids! Our son is so well taken care of and cared for; Miss Izzy and Miss Yusneidi have been especially wonderful! I appreciate the photos and updates throughout the day. I would recommend them to anyone!

  • I’m very grateful to Discovery Kids for the love and care they give my child every day. It’s a safe, nurturing place where the teachers truly care about each child. My child comes home happy, and that says it all. I especially want to mention his teacher, Armonee—she is such a sweet and caring person. I truly love the way she treats my child. It’s adorable to see the kindness and warmth she shows when saying goodbye each day, always making sure he leaves with a big smile. That means so much to me and gives me great peace of mind while I’m away. Highly recommended! 💗✨

  • My son loves this daycare! The staff are incredibly patient, and I truly believe he is in excellent hands. His teachers are amazing, kind, polite, and attentive. I would definitely recommend this daycare to other families! 🤎

  • I am so happy that my daughter ended up at this beautiful daycare. She has been attending since she was five months old; she loves all her teachers and the staff in general. She is nearly three now, and enrolling her here was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made—knowing that she is so well cared for, and feeling the genuine affection shown toward the children.🩷

  • My 18-month old son has been attending Discovery Kids Riverton for almost a year. After touring several daycares, I chose this one, and overall my experience has been fairly positive. They do fun activities, and I enjoy seeing the artwork he brings home. Mrs. Kristy in the infant class was especially wonderful with him. That said, communication has been inconsistent. For example, when my son fell and bumped his head, I was notified of the incident but not told about the visible bruise, I didn’t find out until pickup. It also took several days before I was able to fully discuss the situation with staff. His transition to the toddler class was handled well, but I wasn’t informed that communication throughout the day would change, which was frustrating. More recently, a keychain was broken off his backpack by another child. I understand that things happen, but the next day I received a “reminder” message about small items being a choking hazard, even though I had never been told keychains weren’t allowed or that other children could access his bag. As well as creams such as Aquaphor not being allowed in this new class. I understand no daycare is perfect, and my son enjoys several of his teachers. However, inconsistent communication and occasional passive aggressive messages are concerns worth noting.

  • This was a great little school/preschool until our son’s developmentally appropriate boundary testing seemed to exceed their capabilities. He was having some behavioral struggles and disruptions in class during a time that discovery kids was aware of difficult changes going on in his life, and following the holiday break. Prior to this timeframe my son had no behavioral disruptions at school or daycare throughout his lifetime. Unfortunately the school did not have the resources or training to adequately address behavioral interventions for things such as defiance, feeling unable to participate, nap refusal (he truly no longer needed naps but was required to either nap or sit quietly on his mat for 45 minutes without toys or entertainment before he could do something else—-not a fair expectation for a 5 year old) and overstimulation leading to hitting, and instead began requiring complete obedience and compliance on my sons part otherwise he had to go home (interrupting/interfering with my work schedule). Of further concern, I learned that other parents with children in my son’s class have also experienced similar things with their children being sent home, and even being told to look for other childcare for behaviors that should be effectively handled by a daycare provider. After consulting with a child development specialist, and getting my son into therapy because I was afraid my son truly was out of control and out of the norm, I was reassured that these behaviors were in fact normal and that the next best steps for my son and I may be to just look into school that’s were confident in de-escalating young kids and were informed in appropriate and effective behavior interventions for pre-K aged children. In January 2026 I found a nearby childcare/preschool and inquired about how they would handle situations like the one my son had been in where he became escalated, and was impressed by what their procedures were and decided to make the switch and hope for the best. Another bonus was that naps were completely optional for the 4-5 year old class. It is now March 2026 and my son has flourished at his new center. His behavior has not always been perfect either, but his new teachers and staff de-escalated him quickly and effectively, turning situations that escalated further when he was at discovery kids (such as defiance, failure to participate, etc) into a simple 10 minute de-escalation. His new center seems to understand child development, behavioral expectations, and behavioral interventions at a deeper level. If your child is always on their best behavior, this childcare/preschool will likely work for you just fine. My son enjoyed his time there early on and the teachers were kind. I just hope that the school will invest in more thorough behavioral intervention and child development training for their staff members.
