Our Journey Montessori

Our Journey has been the perfect home away from home for our preschooler. Ms. Lindsey is a true Montessori educator, and it has been a joy to watch our child grow in confidence and independence. We love Our Journey Montessori!

My youngest is in his second year here with the Early Childhood program. I am amazed at the love and patience they show all the children. From a young age, they take the time to teach them all the practical life skills I get to impatient to teach my own kids 😂 Then, my son comes home eager to tell me about all kinds of things he’s learning from letter sounds to math concepts. I happened upon Montessori by accident and I’m so glad I did. It’s been the perfect introduction for all three of my rowdy boys to find a love in learning because they discover on their own through their own interests. I get pictures every week of hands on activities my son is working on. All of the time spent here is valuable. I love that they go outside every day and provide so much space for kids to explore and learn. It fosters, what I believe to be, the perfect childhood.

Enrolling my son at Our Journey has been nothing but a wonderful experience for our family. He truly loves going to school—it’s such a peaceful, nurturing environment, and he’s learning and growing so much every day. I honestly feel they don’t get nearly enough recognition for how incredible they are. They offer preschool all the way through 12th grade, as well as after-care and tot care, which makes it such a supportive and well-rounded community. I love how confident my son feels here, and we couldn’t have asked for a better teacher than Mrs. Lindsey—she has been absolutely amazing. We originally only planned on preschool, but we loved it so much that he is now in kindergarten, and I truly couldn’t imagine him being anywhere else. I’m even considering transferring my teenage daughter here as well. It brings such peace of mind knowing how much my son loves his school. Thank you for everything you guys do. ❤️

True to the spirit of Montessori - simplicity, kindness, child-led The teachers are warm, patient, and truly invested in the care of the children at Our Journey (OJ). As a first time mom I was set on homeschooling as an alternative to the traditional public school model. We initially looked into Our Journey as an opportunity for my my son to meet other kids independently. He was often "shy" when I was around at other social activities and relied on me to do all of the talking. Turns out he's not "shy" he just needed the right environment! Since joining OJ my son has attended multiple school birthday parties, made new friends outside of school and his confidence has blossomed. I appreciate the option of part time (M-TH) AND half days (8:30-11:30am) which is surprisingly hard to find. Having this option made the transition from full-time at home kiddo to pre-school much smoother. We're so thankful for the intentionality that Miss Emily, Miss Kacee, and Miss Lindsey have invested into this cozy little school.

Our youngest currently attends the toddler program. He started full-time when he was 6 months old. I’m grateful to have found a montessori program that accepts some younger kids because Ive seen other schools not accept younger than 2 years old. We get daily reports on how he’s doing and we get pictures and a weekly update on Friday. I can tell that Emily, Kacee, and Lindsay care for him. We’re grateful for how they’ve cared for him and nurture his growth.
