  • Whatever lady drives the bus and picks up kids at Wallace Stegner, stay far away if you don’t want to endanger the lives of your kids. This bus driver lady drives like a maniac. Including coming to a complete stop on 5600 W, and forcing her way into the entrance of Wallace Stegner. Mind you she stayed stopped on 56th in the left lane and wouldn’t move unless someone let her in, blocking traffic on the right lane pulling into the parking lot, 5600th west from moving or the northbound lanes from turning into the parking lot. Own car had to swerve from rear ending her when she was at a stop

  • Beth and Stormy, and Reagan who run Small World West Valley are amazing. My daughter started at this daycare when she was 2 and has gone since she was 6. She loves it here. Often walks in without saying bye to me. We had to move briefly and when we moved back we tried a different daycare and she hated it. I called Beth and was like we have to come back where I know my daughter is taken care of and loved. Yes I said loved the environment there is safe and they care about every child. They know all of them by name. They also know how to handle her when she's having a rough day and not being on her best behavior. I moved her schools so she could attend Small world day. All the teachers are patient and loving. You won't regret placing your child in thier care. They will take your worry away the first day your child is there. Your child will love it here.

  • FYI: Some of these 5⭐️ Reviews are because they offer a small discount If you show them you gave them a good review. My son was going to this daycare since before he turned 1. He is now 3 turning 4 in September. On Monday May 16, 2022 our son came home for the second time with marks on his left arm (first time was around fall or winter 2021 which they claimed it was “scratches” probably to blame another toddler maybe), the marks were finger imprints of an adults hand that grabbed him tight with pressure. The next day I went to the day care to talk to the director (Beth) about it and maybe the teachers. They again, claimed it looked like scratches. My son would not say who did it the night before he would just say “fingers” and point to the marks, Beth asked him who did it and he straight out said Ms. Kat (one of the 3’s teacher) Beth then started to defend the teacher (cause she will always “vouch” for her) & went on to Blame my 3 year old cause he’s so “disruptive” & “aggressive” she went as far as to say “I’m worried for the safety of my teachers” Again my son is only 3!!! I proceeded to tell her about another day that I picked him up, what looked like a 5 year old was yelling at my son and I could hear it from down stairs, when I walked in the classroom my son was just next to her wanting to interact or play but Beth basically still blamed my child again and said he should have given her space (i was trying to explain there are other aggressive kids because of the way she was talking about him) The way she started talking to me like my child needs professional help and said “maybe this isn’t the place for him” (she clearly didn’t want to deal with my complaint) at that point i felt like my child was a huge inconvenience for her like she didn’t want him there which made me make the decision to take him out. My son is not monster as they made him seem, since the 17th we’ve been home and he’s sweet yeah he has his moments like any child, everyone that knows him will tell you he is just a normal 3 year old and love being around him. Beth NEVER even apologized for what her teacher did to my son at one point she would just close/roll her eyes in the conversation because you could tell she didn’t want to deal with this. For as long as my son was at this daycare and as long as we were paying them she didn’t really care she saw a problem and wanted it gone. By problem I mean her teachers leaving marks on children and parents confronting her. Because they will see what they want to see.

  • My 3-year-old has been attending Small World for just over a year now. Before this, she was attending another daycare that was on-site at the company I work for. However, due to the pandemic, I was sent home to work remotely and no longer used the daycare. I began searching for daycares close to home so my child could get back into her routine and have fun with children her age again. I met with multiple daycares before Small World and was set on signing up at a different location. Small World was my last stop, and I am so grateful I kept searching and met with this center. They are fantastic and I am so happy I found them!! I love this daycare so much, and so do my children! My school age child was being signed up for a summer camp elsewhere, but unfortunately, they were already full in June. Small World had an opening, so she has been able to enjoy making friends at Small World and she did not want to leave! She still asks me when she gets to go back which is very comforting to hear that your child enjoys it so much they are looking forward to returning. The staff is always so kind and helpful with all my questions/concerns. Lisa has been one of our absolute favorite teachers, and lucky for my youngest, she gets to have her again this year! Thank you, Small World, for being the best daycare that fits our needs.

  • My son attended private kindergarten at Small World for half a year before a spot opened at a charter and he switched schools. If I ever need daycare in the future we will absolutely be back. The staff was absolutely amazing and we we're welcomed warmly from the beginning. I will recommend it highly to anyone looking for a safe place for their child.

  • We LOVE Small World West Valley! Our 2-year-old has been able to stay home with a parent most of his little life. Last year, we had a brief need for daycare for a couple of months, and we took him somewhere else—an experience that was fine but nothing special, just a tough change in routine that we were eager to survive and get through. This year, though, we have needed daycare once again—temporary again, but longer this time. We decided to give Small World a try, and from the beginning, we've been so glad we did. From the moment we walk in in the morning and everyone—even teachers from the other age groups—greet our son by name with a smile and a sincere "GOOD MORNING!", to the moment I pick him up and find him laughing and playing in a nurturing room with music and art and color and joy, I know that he's having a fun, enriching day every hour I can't be with him. But where it really shows is at home—where he constantly wows me with new skills like bringing his plate to the sink after dinner, cleaning up his toys without being asked, and saying "thank you" when receiving a snack. I try my best to teach him these things, but the influence of the amazing teachers and other kids in his class has definitely been key to his learning and growing. I can't say enough about the outstanding, caring teachers, the attentive and engaged director and assistant directors, and the loving atmosphere at Small World. When I drop him off in the mornings, I wish I could just stay there instead of heading off to work! What a great place! If we ever need daycare again, we know where to go, and if asked by family or friends for a recommendation for daycare, Small World West Valley gets our wholehearted endorsement! (Did I mention that Small World actually costs significantly LESS than the previous daycare we attended, despite being worth SO MUCH MORE?!)
