  • I’m sharing my experience to help other parents make an informed decision. Unfortunately, I found the management to be very rigid with policies and lacking flexibility or empathy toward a child’s individual needs, especially when they are unwell. Some concerns from my experience: * My sick child was not allowed to sleep for more than two hours. * A doctor’s note was required to keep my child indoors when unwell. * Food was sometimes taken away before my child had finished eating. * Video footage was not shown even when requested after minor incidents. I understand the need for daycare policies, but I believe compassion, reasonable judgment, and flexibility are equally important when caring for young children.

  • Our 2 and 4 year olds attend Children's Courtyard at Daybreak and we are very happy with the school. Both girls have wonderful teachers and the director, Andrea, goes out of her way to make everyone feel welcomed and supported. Teacher Nakea is incredible and truly loves the kiddos. She is always positive and encouraging with our little one's growth and has been a life saver with potty training! Her years of experience and commitment to childcare is really comforting. Teacher Asha is wonderful too and shares so much knowledge with our 4 year old. We're very grateful we found this school upon relocating to Utah and highly recommend it!

  • This is a long review, but I feel that it is important to give details. When the school opened, we toured and decided to move our twins over as it seemed to be a great atmosphere and opportunity for them to have smaller classes and more focused care. Our previous daycare was not bad and they loved going, but every class was full which kept one of the twins from being able to move up when they needed to causing them to spend months in a lower class. This was causing some regression in their speech and behavior. We officially enrolled and transferred them on Monday. By Thursday the same week, I picked up my children and disenrolled them from the school. At the time, my twins were almost 3 years old and currently working on potty training. We received a call from Andrea, the director, stating that one of the twins had bit someone and had pooped his pants and they were trying to clean him up, but he was “uncontrollable” and they needed him picked up. We arrived at the school ~25 minutes later to find our child in the bathroom covered in feces with his pants around his ankles sitting on the toilet. He was calm and held his hands up stating, “mommy I have poop on my hands, I need a bath”. The floor, toilet and wall all had feces on it. After my wife cleaned him up, I spoke to the director and asked what happened. She stuck to her “uncontrollable” story that he was trying to attack them and bite them like he was some sort of feral child. I questioned if locking him in a bathroom with his pants around his ankles and covered in feces until parents could arrive was part of their standard procedures which she said YES, it was BUT they had a teacher watching him thru the window. She continued to state that him not being potty trained and hitting or biting was some sort of unsettling and unacceptable outlandish behavior that should never happen at 3 years old (reminder, they had not turned 3 yet). At this point, I took my one twin home as the other was sleeping and I needed to process what happened and calm down. A couple hours later, I decided to go back to the school and pick up my other twin as I no longer trusted my children in their care. This happened to be the day of their ribbon cutting while we were there, we ran into the SVP of Children’s Courtyard. I explained what happened and that after 4 days I was disenrolling my twins. To her credit, she was very attentive, listened and promised to investigate the situation before she left that day. To her word, I received a call from District Manager within a couple hours. She had investigated what happened and essentially told us that after my child had soiled his pants, he told the teacher and she asked him to go to the bathroom as she was attending to another child right at that moment; perfectly understandable. He went in the bathroom and started trying to get undressed so he could get cleaned up. During that time, he got feces on his hands and himself, and the teachers did not want to get feces on themselves, so they called us and left him in the bathroom for 25 minutes until we got there. He was not “uncontrollable” just a child that had tried to help and got feces on himself and the teachers didn’t want to risk getting feces on themselves. The district manager apologized and agreed that this should have never happened and took responsibility. She continued that this was not their process and again, should never have happened. She offered to move the twins to another location, less convenient, but with a more experienced staff or refund us the amount we had paid. The SVP and District Managers actions are really the only reason we didn’t file a formal complaint with the state. To me, the actions by the staff at the Day Break location were inexcusable and it starts at the Director. Currently, we have moved them to the other location which has been a night and day change. I will write a separate review for that location.

  • This is a wonderful school with a caring and supportive atmosphere. The staff are dedicated, professional, and genuinely invested in the success and well-being of their students. The school creates a positive environment where children feel encouraged to learn, grow, and develop confidence in themselves.
