Early Steps is awesome! Not only is the school preparing our son for preschool (i.e. learning letters, numbers, shapes, colors, etc.), but they also enable potty training, teeth brushing, and extracurricular activities. There is also a monthly celebration and the children participate in performances, which are so beautifully done. I can’t recommend this place enough!
KatherineDec 17, 2025ESBP is a blessing! When looking for preschools for my son, I wanted a school that resembled elementary school. Having him do crafts, learning activities and events. When I found ESBP Springfield, they checked all the boxes! And the plus is that they are bilingual and it allows my son to continue to be around the Spanish language. I love that they offer extracurricular activities while they are in school such as karate and gymnastics. Soccer is offered during the summer camp. The administration staff is always working with you and responsive to anything you need. The teachers are so patient and care so much about the children. With all this, I can say I am happy and at ease that my son is happy and excelling academically. It’s amazing to see how much he has grown academically and personally in the short time he has been at the school.
Marina GassDec 17, 2025Initially, we were looking for childcare when we moved to Northern Virginia, and needed a place that we could afford as middle income and needed longer operating hours. Early Steps fit the bill! They are open 7 am - 6 pm, Monday - Friday, practically the whole year from mid-August through late July (with a winter break and short spring break). And what we received in exchange has been life changing! Early Steps is a top notch place for kiddos (ages 2-5) to learn, grow, and prepare for school. The teachers and staff truly care about the growth of each child, and it is evident each and every day. The smiles, the songs, the friendships, and the fun activities! My child started at Early Steps at 2.5 years old, not talking a lot. At 4 years old, my child now speaks both Spanish and English well, can do math, and is able to read simple words. My child is also good at hand washing, toileting by themself, cleaning up toys and food, sharing and playing with others, and it's all due to Early Steps. Also, my kiddo has a severe food allergy (anaphylaxis) and Early Steps takes it very seriously, and has created a safe environment. There hasn't been had an incident for my child yet (1.5 years). Mil Gracias! Many Thank Yous! --- Important: Be sure to read the contract paperwork! One of the Google reviewers is right, that when you start Early Steps, you sign a contract for the WHOLE school year, so if your housing situation may change before the end of the contracted timeframe, you may not want to sign up.
Sarah BabinsAug 15, 2025We have been part of the Early Steps family for over 6 years now. Both our daughters have attended this phenomenal school since being 2 years old and graduated right before Kindergarten. The years they have spend there were just wonderful! Teachers are nothing but great, dedicated, caring, loving and so patient. The staff works so hard to make each day the best, they plan these amazing presentations, they cook for children on site, offer karate, music, piano, gymnastics, soccer, and so much more. Our first girl graduated a while ago and still does not hesitate in going inside to say hello to everyone at pick up. Our second girl, born with a disability, recently graduated from ESBP and absolutely loved her time there. Everyone was so accommodating to her needs, she was truly loved by everyone there that we will be forever grateful for this special time. Our third child is already signed up to join ESBP next February as well. Spanish immersion is the way to go! Thank you to everyone at this escuela for everything they do, ustedes son el alma de esta escuela y nuestra familia siempre estara agradecida con ustedes!
Katrin VentocillaAug 4, 2025Early Steps has been the best preschool experience for our family. When we transferred our son from another preschool (a Montessori program), we were concerned that he might struggle to adapt. However, the transition was seamless. From day one, he enjoyed every moment and felt right at home. At the time, he was behind academically, but thanks to Miss Maria Ferrufino’s dedication, he quickly caught up with his peers. Her guidance helped him feel confident and comfortable while learning to read, write, and perform basic addition and subtraction. She treats every child as if they were her own, and that care makes all the difference. I’ll never forget the joy I felt picking him up each day—he never wanted to leave because he was having so much fun. The entire teaching team ensures that no child is left behind. They also go above and beyond to teach children daily life skills, like brushing their teeth, combing their hair, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the classrooms and facilities. Miss Maria and her team even made lunchtime a learning experience, teaching the children about vitamins and minerals to encourage healthy eating habits. Choosing to switch schools was one of the best decisions we’ve made. I’ll be forever grateful to Early Steps Bilingual Preschool, Miss Maria Ferrufino, and the entire staff. If we ever have another child, I wouldn’t hesitate to enroll them here. There’s no greater peace of mind than knowing your child is truly cared for.
Adriana LezamaJul 31, 2025A great daycare and school. My daughter loves going to school every day and has become a Spanish speaker at 4 years old in a household where only English is spoken. The school goes above and beyond from amazing teachers to a staff that enable active learning and enjoyment for their students. This institution values a family approach by bringing parents in the join the excitement and happiness the students enjoy. Holiday times are my favorite because they put on amazing shows that encompass a learning experience into a delightful show for the parents performed by the students. Best decision we have made for our daughters future.
