  After a great deal of reflection, I feel compelled to share concerns that ultimately influenced our decision regarding this daycare. The primary issue is leadership and consistency. Over the past year, the director has often seemed unavailable during situations that required clear communication and timely decisions. While she has always been kind and professional in our interactions, many concerns raised by families and staff appeared to go unresolved for extended periods. A second concern is the culture within the administration. We observed what appeared to be favoritism toward certain children, inconsistent treatment of families, and interactions that sometimes left parents and staff feeling uncomfortable or unheard. Whether intentional or not, these behaviors can create an environment that feels less welcoming and less equitable for both children and families. Staff turnover has also been noticeable. Children benefit from stability and strong relationships with their teachers, so frequent departures can be disruptive. In addition, we occasionally witnessed unprofessional behavior and conversations that raised concerns about the overall workplace culture. I recognize that every childcare center faces challenges, and I do not believe these issues reflect the dedication of every teacher or staff member. In many respects, our family enjoyed our time here, and there are aspects of the program that we appreciated. However, I believe the center would benefit from stronger leadership presence, more consistent communication, greater accountability, and a renewed focus on ensuring that all children and families are treated equally and respectfully. I am sharing these concerns because I believe the center has the potential to provide an excellent experience, but meaningful improvements are needed. Children only get one childhood, and the quality of leadership and culture has a direct impact on the experience they receive.

  We absolutely love this daycare! Our daughter has been attending since she was an infant (now 2.5) and it has been such a wonderful experience. The facility is always clean and feels very safe, and the teachers are caring, attentive, and truly amazing with the kids. Our daughter loves coming every day and has grown so much here. Her vocabulary has taken off and she is learning new things constantly. We also love the variety of activities they provide, from daily outdoor play to yoga, STEM, and even cooking classes! The director and deputy director go above and beyond to make families feel welcome and supported. We feel so grateful to have found this place. It has truly become a second home for our little one.

  We couldn’t be happier with ELF! From day one, the teachers have been warm, welcoming, and genuinely invested in our childrens’ growth. Many of the teachers who had our oldest now care for our 3rd little one to go through their program. They truly know each child as an individual, which gives us so much peace of mind. The small class sizes make such a difference—our child gets personal attention while still enjoying the benefits of being part of a group. The director is wonderfully communicative and always makes sure families feel informed and supported. The overall approach to care is so positive—it’s the perfect balance of play, learning, and gentle structure. Other centers in the area are often comparable in price or charge more (and have less hours of care available per day), but the quality of care at ELF is superior when we talk to other parents. It feels like more than a preschool—it’s a little community that nurtures both learning and love.

  It is challenging to adequately convey just how exceptional ELF is. The facility is impeccably clean and well-sanitized, creating a safe environment for children. The staff members are not only friendly but also deeply committed to the well-being of every child in their care. From the moment I enrolled my child, I have witnessed significant growth and learning, both mentally and physically. ELF employs a distinctive approach and program tailored to meet the individual needs of each child, fostering both behavioral development and knowledge acquisition. I am immensely thankful to each teacher and their team for their dedication and effort in nurturing my child.   I cannot say enough good things about ELF! My son went here for several years (until we moved to another area) and they were so wonderful to him. He started out at 16 weeks in the infant room and wen through the preschool room. Ms. Mary was so kind and warm, and she fostered a wonderful environment of such caring and loving staff and teachers. My son absolutely loved his classes and his teachers! I always felt happy and at home there. ELF is a wonderful place!

  ELF Daycare is truly exceptional! The owner, Mary, is always present and involved, which makes such a difference. It’s rare to find a daycare where the owner is hands-on, and it really shows in the care and attention to detail. My mom kept commenting on how spotless and clean the facility is. You can tell that Mary and her teachers take pride in maintaining a safe, nurturing, and welcoming environment for the kids. I highly recommend ELF Daycare all families.
