  We absolutely love Heart ‘n’ Hand Uptown! Every teacher and staff member has been so caring, loving, and supportive of our family. They truly treat the children like their own and create such a warm, welcoming environment. There is always something fun, engaging, and creative planned for the kids, and it’s obvious how much thought and effort goes into making each day special. My daughter, Iris, loves her time there, and we love seeing all the activities and experiences she gets to be a part of. As a parent, it’s never easy leaving your child, but knowing she is surrounded by people who genuinely care for her gives me so much peace of mind. I know she is in the very best hands every day. We are so grateful for all the amazing teachers and staff and would highly recommend this daycare to any family looking for a safe, nurturing, and fun place for their child! ❤️

  5 stars!! I have loved having my son enrolled at Heart and Hand! I enrolled my son when he was about 8 months old, he will be 2 in 6 months! The owner and staff are all loving and understanding people. Knowing that the same teachers are there day after day taking care and loving my little as their own is so comforting! Daycare drop offs aren’t hard for us anymore and he loves the friends he has made here! I appreciate the communication through their App, BrightWheel, if there are exposures, your child is sick or has spiked a fever, etc. They take pride in prioritizing the kids and their staffs health/safety. This is truly the most outstanding daycare center ever! I couldn’t think of a better center to recommend to parents in Montgomery County! ❤️

  Heart ‘n Hand came to us in the perfect moment. We were so unsure of another daycare option and heard from the director here at the perfect time. We are so pleased we made the choice to switch. The directors and teachers here are so caring, so good at communicating, and so capable! Everyone has asked me how I’ve felt so comfortable transitioning out of maternity leave, and it’s truly because the staff here make it easy on a mama’s heart. I know I’m leaving her in good hands and will know how she’s doing throughout the day. It’s an added bonus that even as young as 4 months old, she’s happy to go every morning, greeting her teachers with a smile. We just love it here!

  We have loved having our daughter at Heart N Hand for the past year and a half and definitely recommend them to anyone looking for quality childcare. I’ve gotten to know several of the teachers and feel they real know and care for my little girl. I feel secure knowing that the same teachers are there day after day, month after month! A sign of a good daycare is teacher retention. I love the art activities my toddler gets to do as well as the regular outdoor play. Snacks are provided and they are very accommodating with individual needs!

  Our son is in the two year old room and is having a great experience. The class size is small, there are kind teachers, and they do alot of activities. They spend alot of time outside when the weather is nice and have water day once a week in the summer. He has also stayed healthy and the classrooms are very clean!

  Chelsea and Linda have really put a caring effort into the center that they have opened together. I’m genuinely sad we had to leave when we moved. They have made sure to provide a wonderful, caring, learning environment for every child in their care. I always saw one teacher and two aides in every room my son was in. They ensure the child to teacher ratio is low to maintain a child focused environment. I also appreciated that whenever my child spiked a fever, or had a rash, they would call me and send him home until he had a doctor visit. Yes, some may think that’s an inconvenience; however, it was because they were prioritizing the safety and health of all of the other children in their care - which is what matters most. Not only that, but if a child at the daycare did get diagnosed with something serious, they always made sure to send a mass email, as well as a BrightWheel message, to alert all parents of possible exposure. I also love that they use BrightWheel for billing and live updates of when your child has been fed, changed, has played, and has napped. They also send picture updates throughout the day too! I even had one of my son’s teachers correspond with me over the app on the quantity of what he was eating, so I could strategize the lunches I packed for him according to what he would actually eat. The platform is super interactive, and you can message the teachers directly if you want to check up on your child. It was an amazing way to communicate during the day. This daycare also offers PTO meetings for parents to get involved directly with the center. They also host food truck fund raisers and events like “summer Olympics” for the kids that parents can attend, which was super fun! If I ever lived back in Christiansburg, I would 100% take my son back here. They are wonderful, caring, and loving people that have their heart in the best interest of the children they care for.
