We love Maria Teresa’s! We are only in Arlington for 9 months and chose it mostly because it is bilingual and we’re moving to a Spanish speaking country BUT, my children have learned so much during their time here. My friends with children similar ages are always so impressed by how many words my one year old has in both English and Spanish. My three year old also has a great vocabulary and knows things that I didn’t even realize he was ready for. The best part though are the teachers. They’re all so sweet and take such good care of the kids. I highly recommend Maria Teresa’s.
Grace Raver ChatzkyMay 7, 2024Our baby spent a year at MTB (5-16 months), and I can’t say enough amazing things about it. The care you get from the staff is unprecedented - your child will be nurtured, fed great food, and will learn good things (like cleaning up after themselves, sports, and so on). Literally, the only regret of moving to another area is losing this daycare. Plus, they will speak Spanish as their first language. Thank you MTB for giving so much to our family. We miss you sorely ❤️
Dasha DKApr 22, 2023Average daycare but lacking for older children's development. The past year has seen an increase in staff turnover, facility disrepair and child incident reports. Overall the Center tends to be unorganized and inefficient. There's a lot of referencing their curriculum and learning philosophy in practice it's mostly lip service. We would recommend that parents request to tour the facility during circle time or an organized learning activity for a more unfiltered view of services provided. The majority of families live in the immediate area and seem captive to the convenience. Cost is on the higher side which would be fair if they delivered what they promised. After touring other centers in the county, we very quickly decided to move our child. EDIT: Tony/Maria; Good to see you corrected the spelling mistakes from your earlier response. We spoke at great lengths, many times in person and through emails prior to moving our child. No changes of consequence were made, so we moved our child. The time to work with a family to address concerns is when the concerns are originally brought up not defensively to a 3 star review. Our review is a simple, honest assessment of what we took away from MTB. The straw that broke the camels back was your mothers continued deflection of an issue with another child's behavior stating, "your child is no angel either." Again, our overall opinion of MTB is good. With all the inefficiencies and disrepair which seems common among all providers in the area, MTB was a good daycare. That said, we do no believe MTB provides great value for the services provided. Now that our child has been at a proper preschool, we firmly believe MTB does not adequately prepare children (2.5+ years) for their transition into kindergarten.
Lillian RoutmanSep 7, 2018My daughter has been going there for the last 10 months and my experience has been fantastic so far. The teachers are so loving (with no or low turnover as far as I know) that my daughter just jumps to them when she gets dropped at the daycare. It's Spanish language facility and we speak both Korean and English at home. Thus it may be a bit confusing for her for the time being, but eventually she will feel comfortable in 3 languages in the long term.
Garu Dev-DiploMay 8, 2018This daycare center is the worst. They have a high level of teacher turnover. They pride themselves of being a bilingual school, however the teachers are not fluent in English. If you want to send your child to an expense babysitter, then enroll them here.
