  • My family is blessed beyond measure to have found the Fiddleheads community. We have been supported by the program both in-person and through online learning. Teacher Jessica and her staff have created a curriculum that is thoughtful, fun, creative and also extremely important. They deeply value the relationship between a child and the natural world and they have provided a supportive setting, meaningful conversations and activities that nurture this relationship. Last year when schools and parks closed, playing with friends suddenly only happened online and the world seemed small and confusing we leaned into what we could and connected deeper with nature. Fiddleheads online curriculum provided us with daily activities, stories, crafts and opportunities to connect online with teachers and peers. Staff was always available for questions, updates, support and encouragement. Throughout the transition to online learning staff demonstrated flexibility, openness and an unwavering commitment to our children’s education. Teacher Jessica is truly a gift to the life of any young child and/or the parent of a young child. She is a natural teacher. She is patient, kind, attentive, creative, warm and fun-spirited. She is also an extremely knowledgeable observant of the natural world and skilled at seamlessly making connections for children that will excite them to learn and grow more in nature. We adore her and the program and would recommend it to anyone and everyone.
