  • We were so disappointed with our summer stay at Jackson Gore. We had to fight through weeds to access the hot tubs at Adams house. The building looked like it had been left for dead with no landscaping, maintenance, or even a luggage cart to be found. The main hallways have an awful odor. Honestly, the $89 Days Inn has a nicer in-room refrigerator set up. Also no staff to be found anywhere and no one can answer questions accurately. It feels like management has given up and is not trying at all here. Overpriced.

  • Staff doesn’t remain at the desk. I understand stepping away for a moment, but upon this visit, I made multiple trips down and nobody was actively at the desk at all and didn’t come out for some time. I find that unusual someone is not stationed there and they have to be in some back office that they don’t come out of in a timely manner. First visit here and not the impression you want to receive. Next morning we all run out of water mid-shower. Plumbing issues? Why was this not addressed at an appropriate timeframe or any warning if they did plan that to occur for some reason? If work has to be done to a facility, it should have a notice somewhere for all visitors to see - we had to leave way too early in the morning to stress about running water. We were traveling to the area for an unfortunate family event and it just felt like every step of this was added stress we did not need. Room temperature insanely hot upon entering the first time - took a long while to cool down and was not beneficial for my partner who has heat hypersensitivity, either, and is prone to fainting in the case they’re in that environment too long. My partner is old enough to manage and walk away in the meantime (which is not reasonable to need to do, but it really was hot.. I wasn’t even doing well and I tend to run cold all the time), but if our youngest kid was with us, it would have been much more difficult. A bit disappointing as at least set the temperature to something moderate during the housekeeping if someone truly wants it to feel like a sauna during their own stay. Trash cans are super small at least in the room we received - I threw about two things away and that’s all I had room for... Felt that was odd as I’ve stayed in many hotels and I tend to have reasonable sized trash cans (and multiple usually in case this problem occurs). I looked for trash bags to replace it myself, couldn’t find them (never had this issue before either). We did not get to explore any other part of their facility to see if it was worth the costs of the room. Not trying to be rude as I understand things happen, but the details add-up. Location itself is great, but I’d say it tends to make it much more pricy than it should be. Room sizes are workable, but certainly not the best I’ve seen around the VT area within an hour or so of this place. Hope this helps to re-review some steps in the process here that might be a bit broken or require fine-tuning.

  • Room was musty & much smaller than advertised. The sheets were dirty & I say that with confidence bc I found a dirty crusty sock in between the sheets! What’s worse is I reached out to management to give them an opportunity to make things right & they never followed up . Go somewhere else if you’re looking to relax in a clean room

  • First trip stayed MLK room in main inn had low ceilings, dated lighting, uncomfortable beds and was a complete disappointment for the price. Lack of housekeeping and space for gear. Trails wildly overcrowded to the point of being unsafe especially for children. Not enough ski patrol out. Second trip in March (pre paid and couldn't cancel) room in Adams house smells like smoke, same dated decor and low ceilings. Service at check in felt unwelcoming and unhelpful. Won't return. Try Stowe or Sugarbush or better yet Europe!

  • The location and the staff are fantastic. However, our experience was overshadowed by paying $600 per night for a room that was tiny, and tired. Even the mini fridge was mini. It was a square , not a rectangle. This felt closer to a Best Western than a room worth $600. For that reason, I don’t see us coming back. It wasn’t a peak weekend either. It was mid March.

  • We had an awesome experience at Jackson Gore. Hands down, it has one of the best beginner magic carpets I’ve seen. The beginner runs are huge — which makes a massive difference when you’re learning. You actually have time to practice your turns and build confidence instead of feeling like you’re at the bottom in 30 seconds. I was teaching my wife how to snowboard, and it was perfect. It wasn’t overcrowded, so she could focus without feeling rushed or pressured. For anyone trying to help a true beginner, that space and breathing room is everything. After that, I brought my two boys up on the lifts, and the mountain is just absolutely amazing. Great terrain, beautiful views, and something for every level. It turned into a perfect family day on the mountain. Jackson Gore really nailed it for beginners and families. We’ll definitely be back.
