I am a central vermont educator and I took a fantastic Biodiversity Eductor Institute course. It was incredibly hands on and engaging. The eductors Sean and Ken were unbelievably wonderful and talented naturalist/educators/people. In addition I walked away with a whole new unit planned out and ready to execute for the filling school year! I Alps met a lot of other wonderful eductors! Cant say enough about NBNC and what they offer for teaches!

Jae FradetteApr 9, 2024A great spot to picnic and wander not too far from downtown. The nature center is small, but has a few fish tanks and some specimen drawers packed with interesting things, including a wide variety of pelts. The bathroom is clean, the staff are very good at answering kids' questions, and everything is free!
Sarah FickettSep 6, 2023Beautiful walking trails, almost no incline so it’s good for all ages and abilities. Down by the bridge is a great spot for swimming in summer! The wooded area is fun for kids to play in. Lots of wooden walkways through the bogs make for excellent exploration.
Tara Lee ByrneSep 1, 2023I recommend this location for families with children and those that love nature. The indoor facility is unique with lots to see and explore. The children loved prancing around the great outdoors and the butterflies were extremely friendly which was a real treat. A great for the entire family.
SMC LLCJan 22, 2023Love the trails there . It was my first time there love the mountain view and all the flowers even has a river on the trail. A great example of natural at it best .hope to vist again someday in the fall when the leaves are turn color it has to be beautiful . There is a small garden on the property that you can see it had tomatoes and even pumpkins. It is my first time to Vermont, as I said it was beautiful there and very quiet place for walking and enjoying nature . It was a great Sunday activities.
