  • My son is 7 years old, and he has attended 2 Cadance Academy's now. I actually came back to Cadance because of the amazing care my son received from the first Cadence Academy which was on Intelco Loop, Corporate Center, Lacey, WA. Mrs. Michelle is the director there and she is an amazing director! Both Cadance Academies have been a very good experience for me and my son. They have worked with him when he hasn't been the easiest child sometimes, and they are always fair. The teachers actually took the time to find out the things that my son would like to do"

  • I’ve never trusted a group of strangers so quickly, but the staff here has truly made me and my family feel like we belong. I mean it from the bottom of my heart when I say they've gone above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Before coming to Cadence Academy Preschool, we had a deeply negative experience with our previous daycare provider, so I came here with a lot of concerns. I shared my past experiences with the staff, and not only did they listen attentively, but they also empathized with my worries. They reassured me that they were nothing like the provider we had before, and they’ve proven that every single day since. My son is autistic, with very limited verbal skills and minimal social abilities. From day one, they treated him with nothing but love and acceptance. He was never excluded from activities, never isolated because of his challenges. Instead, the staff poured so much love and patience into him, helping him grow in ways I never thought possible. They made sure he felt like he was just as important as every other child in the room. Thanks to their care, my son has blossomed. He now plays with other children and his communication skills have expanded so much. I honestly can't express enough how much they've done for him not just teaching him, but truly showing him kindness and understanding. The love they’ve poured into him is immeasurable, and it’s something I will always be grateful for.

  • My granddaughter has been attending this amazing school for the past 7 months and I have nothing but good things to say about this school. Initial introduction with Ms. Jehnna (Director) was warming and welcoming. The class size is great, the teachers are very attentive and always have fun activities planned for the kids. When I pick up, there are smiles and happy kids running around which warms my heart. We know that when there are no tears either on drop off or pick up, this team is doing their job and doing it well. Please keep up the good work, great personalities, homey feel of the building and all that it takes to make our babies happy. Thanks again

  • My daughter attended here for a little less than two weeks. Out of those two weeks she only attended for one full 10 hour day. Every other day I was getting called after anywhere from 2-6 hours to pick her up. I would not recommend this daycare whatsoever. Completely overpriced & a very inconsistent staff. Everyday I dropped off my kid it was all new faces except for the front desk lady. Also my daughter would cry as soon as I pulled into the parking lot to drop her off after her first two days. That’s unusual behavior for her, so id say be very mindful with your children here. I could list multiple issues I saw with this facility in just a week and a half but I’ll keep my review short.

  • For the amount they charge, they should have a nicer facility and better paid teachers. I've heard numerous times about air conditioners being broken or other issues in the classrooms. My son's classroom was constantly being merged with another room during the middle of the day. All the staff look stressed and overwhelmed. They also did a mid year rate increase to $395/week for toddlers. Most centers don't do as mid year increase, and other centers at this price point are much nicer. The teachers were wonderful, but everything else wasn't. I can see why they always have openings for kids and are understaffed.

  • My child has been attending since about January/February of this and at first we had no issues. Smiling faces in the morning, warm greetings but the facade quickly faded. My daughter has repeatedly come home with bruises and scratches from a very specific individual. The director, Shelby, consistently tells me she’ll “check the cameras” and get back to me. None of that ever happened and the same child that terrorizes my little girl still attends the school. He’s put his hands on her, stolen her items from her, and just overall made her not want to go into her classroom. I’m consistently told “we’ll look into it” but it’s never been looked into. There’s been more than one incident I’ve learned from second hand about incidents where I never signed an incident report. On top of that, they pay their teachers a whopping .26 cents more than minimum wage AFTER raising tuition a couple hundred dollars and for what? There’s been no increase in the quality of meals, the classrooms look the same, and now you can’t even staff a facility because of it all. “Competitive benefits” don’t mean a whole lot if your whole staff can’t afford to make ends meet. If it weren’t for the welcoming staff and the teachers and their assistants, I probably would’ve pulled my daughter long ago.
