My daughter is in one of the infant toddler rooms and she’s being sent home more frequently because the new staff are not watching the children in their care. I have been receiving isolated incident reports where my child is defending herself from being bitten, scratched, and hit. My daughter has come home with scratches under eye where it’s bleeding and in another incident following it will say that the teachers weren’t paying attention to the children and assume that because my child was near by she was the one that would inflict a bite or scratch mark on a peer. They request that my daughter get sent home for excessive scratching or biting…how can that be? when in the same breath both teachers stated in the report they weren’t paying attention. If you have young children who cannot advocate for themselves do not put them in this daycare as management and teachers do not care about the wellbeing of toddlers/infants.
KinKade PostJul 29, 2026This place is managed horribly. They sent a teacher in (that was not supposed to be with toddlers or infants) to cover a break for another teacher. That teacher broke my son’s arm & let him go the whole rest of the day crying in pain without saying anything. Neither did any of the other workers. Said “he’s been crying all day” at pick up when my grandma picked him up at the end of the day. No call. No concerns. Just like it was normal. Teacher still works there.
mckenzie wilsonMay 12, 2026The teachers in this class(Sophia, Amanda, and Lucia) are so incredibly sweet. They are always keeping me updated about everything and I know that my son is cared for in there like he’s their own. I have a deep appreciation for them as it’s my first time having him watched outside the home. The fact they can get him to nap during the day means they must be magical!
Mia RoseNov 6, 2025We have been at the center since my oldest was a toddler. She is now in first grade and almost 7:00. We have brought a new baby here, our youngest began when she was 4 months old. I have always been so impressed with the infant care as well as the toddler care. The teachers do so many activities with the kids and are always engaging with them and helping them to learn. This is not just a daycare, my baby learns sign language here, they are doing learning activities all the time. My oldest has been in the school-age center for one year now, they are always so communicative with anything that is going on, sharing struggles and successes equally. I never felt nervous to leave my baby here after I went back to work, and now the youngest is in classroom 25 and it's been so amazing. I would so highly recommend this Center to anyone looking for child care in Vancouver. They also accept state subsidies.
Stephanie EddyNov 5, 2025My grandson goes to Burton Rd., Childrens Village and he really likes it. I like the way they take the kids to parks in the summer. And I like how they have them play outside on the playground for part of the time they are there. Everyone there is very friendly and helpful.
Super1jessie SteinerNov 1, 2025My son has been attending this daycare for almost a year now . In the beginning it was extremely hard from the transition of his last place due to him knowing and being comfortable with everyone there . The first few months that he attended children's village , he was having behaviors left and right due to the change ,and his teacher at the time was not the best in my opinion. I had a great deal of anxiety because of course I wanted to make sure he was being treated with love and properly cared for . When I would pick him up they would have no clue where his belongings where nor could they give me a proper report . Since changing some of there staff and leadership I've noticed a great deal of improvement and compassion for my son . Every teacher makes it a point to know who my son is and the fact that they all know he is obsessed with lightening McQueen and his cars , they all make it a point to talk to him about it which excites him . I’m extremely grateful that they worked with my son throughout all of those days that were tough , because as a constantly worried parent I did not make it easy on them . He is always so excited to be dropped off now. Thank you to all the staff here ❤️
