My family loves Colfax Community Child Care ❤️ We transferred my son here from another preschool program and since he's started, his speech, skill development and curiosity has soared. He immediately felt comfortable in the classroom and with the schedule. Miyah and Cayla are incredible- connecting with the children, encouraging independence, and skill building.
Trecia DekelaitaApr 29, 2026We have had both of our children at CCCC for several years now. Both for full time and after school child care. They are great and vital service for the working parents in our community. We have found all of the employees to competent child care providers and compassionate teachers of our children.
John TurnerJun 6, 2025Entrusting the care and safety of our small children to this childcare establishment was the worst decision of our lives. The 2-3 year olds were without any supervision on two occasions when I pulled up to pick up my littles. Two year olds standing at the top of a slide without one person in sight, my heart literally jumped out of my chest. They said that never happens. We have a 3 year old and a 5 year old. My 3 year old came home with very small bruises on his leg complaining that a child at the daycare hurt him when they were playing outside. My 5 year old observed children pulling on other children's legs as they were climbing up the wrong end of the slide. There were a few misbehaved children at the facility who were suspended for hurting others. When I came back the next day to drop off my children I asked one of the care takers to please accompany me to the restroom and I proceeded to show them what looked like very small fingerprint bruises on my son's thigh. I asked them if they had any idea who was responsible. Everyone was absolutely clueless. They said they never saw anything. So I took my children home to find other options for childcare after letting them know that I found them to be incompetent. Two days later i receive a call from child protective services saying that someone from the daycare said my son had suspicious bruising and they would like to know what time they can come to our home to interview us. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?!?! My little ones are my everything, my whole world!! So here comes CPS knocking on my door. After a one hour interview and walking through our home they found nothing. I asked. I said "after all of this what have you found?" The CPS agent says "Oh nothing" the children appear well fed and cared for and the house is very clean and well stocked with food." I don't have any concerns, we won't be back". I replied, "excuse me!" I was turned into CPS without fault or cause! Do you plan on investigating the childcare where the injury happened!?! I pointed out that it was a blatant retaliation for my pointing out their incompetence, to take the focus off of them! The agent says, "Oh we will check into it". Nothing. My husband watched me cry, not eat or sleep, and suffer absolute trauma over this whole incident wondering if my babies were going to be put into foster care because of these idiots! (I've never had any contact with CPS so don't know how all of that works). I quit my job. I cannot bring myself to trust another daycare. That was hands down the most horrible, traumatic experience of my life. I took the time to write this review so that other mother's who are considering this childcare facility will know the truth about what can happen to you if you don't choose good childcare. I would never want another mother to go through what I went through.
