  • Our daughter has been going here for almost 3 years (ages 1-3) and we've been quite delighted with the experience. I find that the school strikes a good balance between actually teaching your kids stuff, but also having happy kids that enjoy going there. Our daughter loves the teachers there, looks forward to going to school, has picked up real skills in terms of both social skills but also hard skills of early reading, numbers, etc. Her Chinese has also really kept up. In addition, the school has a number of optional "enrichment activities" like dance and soccer classes where they have local agencies come teach (charged extra separately by those agencies), but that means that as parents if we sign up, we don't have to shuttle kids around to activities - a number of them can just get covered as part of the standard week at school. Overall quite recommended. Only main gap I can think of is the amount of outdoor space the school has is adequate but limited since the school is situated near downtown.

  • I applaud the staff of ECA for showing up every day for the kids - it is clear how much they care about all of the kids and their wellbeing, development and education. This is not like other schools. At ECA, the staff go above and beyond. They put on extra cultural celebrations at Lunar New Year and an end of summer celebration where the kids have actually prepared a song/show for the parents. That's a lot of extra effort on the teachers and organizers, and we so appreciate it. Huge shout out to Lei, Lindsey, Iris and Xiao laoshi who have been amazing teachers to our son and we just love how happy he is every day. I always know, when dropping him off in the morning, that he's going to have a great day and I always know that he is being taught important life skills and they are instilling in him kindness, empathy and great listening skills. Big appreciate to Man Wai, Jenny and Joey as well, who keep the place running and never miss a beat. They work together so well (you can tell the joy they have for their every day and how they cheer on each other). What an amazing culture and teamwork to witness. You're all incredible as educators but also as people! Thank you for being such great role models, not only for the kids but also for the parents. Also big thanks to the kitchen staff. We may not see your work as clearly but I always know my son is well fed with healthy foods, and it is so impressive that everything appears to be made fresh on site each day.

  • Our daughter has attended ECA for the past 5 years, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience. The teachers are caring, patient, and genuinely invested in each child’s growth and well-being. Over the years, we’ve watched our daughter develop confidence, friendships, and a love of learning, thanks to the supportive environment they create every day. The staff consistently goes above and beyond to make children feel safe, valued, and excited to come to school. They teach both English and Chinese at school. We are incredibly grateful for all the wonderful teachers and staff who have been part of our daughter’s journey. Highly recommend this daycare to any family looking for a nurturing and trustworthy place for their child.

  • Our daughter was at ECA for two years. A couple things stand out from her experience and why we rate it highly: 1) The quality of care. The leadership and staff have done a great job of creating a loving and nurturing environment to the point where our daughter would ask to go daycare on the weekends and sometimes would even cry when she had to go home. Over time we've seen how she's become increasingly considerate of others and curious, which we credit in part to her time at ECA. 2) Chinese immersion. Her Chinese has flourished at ECA where she voluntarily speaks even when at home. She had a wonderful time at ECA and we are grateful for her experience.
