It's a shame that Herzog's reply was to still deny any wrong doing on their part. Herzog Family Center, I would not publicly post anything without having proof to back it up. I clearly stated, in my post, that I would be more than happy to share the detailed email I sent you after you ignored my attempts to talk to you in person and you failed to return my phone call asking if you were seriously cancelling my daycare spot on a FRIDAY??? The facts are: you chose to cancel our daycare spot via EMAIL, no phone call, no face-to-face adult conversation, you did it in an email. Not only did you do it in an email, you did it on a Friday knowing that I would have no child care on Monday despite the fact that I still had to work in order to provide for my child. To make matters worse, you couldn't even be bothered to reply to my email asking why this happened??? Your reply basically called me a liar. If you believe that, then please back it up by providing proof, like a reply to the email I had sent you, or phone logs showing you were the one to call me so that you could set a time for us to meet, in person, to let me know that you were cancelling my daycare spot. If there as a rating less than zero, they would qualify. I had been on a wait list for over a year, I stayed in close contact, I first met with them in 2017, I later filled out all required paperwork, I paid their deposit fee, and if there was a hoop I jumped. I was totally open and honest with them, never pretending to be something I wasn't. I let them know, well in advance of paying the $1550 deposit and registration fee, that I was a solo parent with no family support around and that the father of my daughter had been willing absent from her life since birth and was not paying, or made to pay, any of the court ordered child support. My daughter would only have been attending there for 1 year, since she would then be old enough to start school. We finally got in and she started after Labor Day in September of 2019. She literally attended there less than 10 school days and then I received an EMAIL, not a request to meet in person, stating that we no longer had a spot there. They sent this email to me on a Friday morning, saying it was effective that day and that I could pick up my refund. That meant that I had no daycare any longer, but still had a job to get to. I emailed the Executive Director/owner Brian Trimble, to state how shocked and hurt I was by their actions. I wrote a long, detailed email and what did I receive for a response? NOTHING! All they care about is how much money a family will bring them. Young baby. Perfect. Multiple young children. Perfect. One child nearing school age. Mmm, Pass. I laughed, in a sarcastic manner, any and every time I read articles about them where Brian appeared concerned about the lack of child care during the start of COVID-19, especially when it meant single parents might have to quit their job. Really Brian? I invite anyone who might question this posting or who prefers to have actual documentation, as opposed to just reading a review before they form their opinion, to read through my documents and my email to Brian. I know a few Herzog's and Brian's center should not be allowed to use that name because the Herzog's I know are good, honest, trustworthy people. Shame on you Brian Trimble!

Lo P.Oct 27, 2016We have been at Herzog for three years since the nursery. (Ganye in nursery is super attentive and amazing with the babies!) We are very happy with current owners Brian and Nikki who make the Center better and better. The teachers are sincere and caring and make it a wonderful place for our son and his little friends. Not only are the educational areas reinforced the method of disciplining is gentle and caring. Much of Mallene's positive reinforcement continues to be practiced and effects my son's responsiveness and his personality. I am so glad to be here and already sad we only have until we transition to kindergarten. These will truly be memorable years.
T PSep 19, 2015My son has been at Herzog for three years so I have had the privilege of knowing both the previous and the new owners/directors. I have to say that this little school keeps getting better. The dedication Brian and Nicki have to the center and to our children is impressive and Brian's enthusiasm is infectious:) They have ensured our children will thrive by building a strong foundation of nutrition and fitness to support a carefully crafted curriculum. They included music and dance, as well as the all important STEM . I have no doubt that these children will be setting the bar in kindergarten! Some of the changes also increased parental/family support including parenting advice newsletters and a date night/babysitting night monthly. We all want the best for our children and Herzog is definitely the best early learning center.
Raven FliersAug 13, 2015The most loving and caring place to have my children. If I can't be at home with them, I'd want them no other place than Herzog - it truly is our second home. From the friendly and engaging staff to the incredible STEM curriculum implemented in all aspects of what my kids do and they do yoga!!!!! We loved the old owners and we love the new owners just as much. Herzog is hands down the best daycare in all of Spokane!
