We've loved our experience at Montessori Garden! Our 5yo daughter attends the half-day preschool, and the teachers (especially Amy and Megan) have done an amazing job helping her adjust to school routines and get ready for kindergarten. They are strict in terms of policies, but in the best way - They hold clear boundaries and expectations, which has helped her learn respect, focus, and independence very quickly. She's thrived working with her small group of mixed-age peers, which helps her confidence and social skills. The facilities are always well-maintained, and the classroom feels calm, organized, and safe. They also offer different music, art, and yoga lessons during the week on top of academic work and play time. So grateful to the Montessori Garden team for creating such a nurturing place to learn. Highly recommend!
Lien NguyenMay 7, 2026We have had a fantastic experience with Montessori Garden. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and clearly passionate about early childhood development. We especially appreciate that they are always available to offer thoughtful, helpful advice whenever we have questions about our child’s growth. The educational foundation our child is building here is impressive, but just as importantly, he truly enjoys his time at school every day. The fact that lunch is provided is also a huge benefit for our daily routine. We couldn't be happier with the care and education our son is receiving!
David LieuMar 17, 2026Montessori Gardens has been a wonderful place for my child. Teachers Amy and Megan are fabulous with many years of experience. They are warm, caring, organized, knowledgeable, and most importantly beloved by all the kids. I love how the kids learn and move at their own pace. There are lots of enrichment activities: yoga, dance, music, art! It’s a small school so it feels very personable and that my child and family are well known. Highly recommended!
Meghan DangananFeb 12, 2026Both my kids went to Montessori Garden and I can’t say enough good things about Amy, Megan and the rest of the staff. Not only did the Montessori program help foster curiosity, confidence, and independence, but the staff is what sets it apart from other early learning preschools. They all truly cared about my kids like they were their own. They guided them with structure, loving boundaries, and patience (and of course they had so many fun activities peppered in)! I was really impressed with how the staff problem-solved along side us with each child’s individual needs, and also helped us see how much they can truly do if we let them. Both my kids, who are very different, were fully ready, capable, and excited to start Kindergarten. I’m so happy we got them off to a great start with Montessori Garden and highly recommend sending your kids there!
Kim HildebrandDec 28, 2024Montessori Garden is owned and operated by a dynamic duo of experienced educators (Amy and Megan) who have dedicated their professional lives to nurturing young minds. Their passion for child development is evident in every aspect of the school, from the thoughtfully-designed classrooms to the warm and supportive learning environment. If you’re looking for a great preschool, I highly recommend a visit. The school's convenient location in Greenlake makes it easily accessible for North Seattle families. Additionally, the strong reputation of the owners within the community speaks volumes about their commitment to providing excellent care.
Joanne HarveyDec 22, 2024I've been recommending Montessori Garden to the young parents I know in Seattle. Owner Amy Jeffries is a smart, experienced educator and child care expert who has always given me great advice on health, nutrition, parenting and child-rearing. She is creative and direct. She is positive and fun. She is a leader. She works hard and gives 110% to her preschool. I love supporting small, women-owned businesses and their Greenlake location is great!
