Here’s my experience: While the teachers and the daily care they provide are truly wonderful and loving, the administrative side of this daycare is deeply disappointing. The enrollment process lacks clear criteria and there appears to be favoritism, which starkly contradicts the Christian values and grace the facility claims to uphold. It is especially disheartening to see neurodivergent children rejected or pushed out for not aligning with specific developmental milestones. Furthermore, I have observed unfair inconsistencies where students who enrolled later were given priority over others without any transparent explanation. In the grand scheme of things, one year at a daycare may seem like a small fraction of a child's life and a brief chapter in a parenting journey. However, the emotional toll and the deep hurt caused by this exclusion and lack of empathy are beyond words. I hope this facility seriously reflects on its operations to truly become the supportive, inclusive, and Christ-like community they advertise.

New Song Academy has been such a gift for our family. All three of my kids have grown not just in their skills, but in their confidence and love for learning. They feel encouraged, supported, and genuinely excited to show up—it’s amazing to see how much joy and heart the academy brings into their lives. 💛

I am truly thankful for New Song Academy and the loving environment it provides. I am currently sending both of our children here and feel very confident in the care they receive each day. The teachers are kind, encouraging, and patient, and we really appreciate the thoughtful curriculum. Our children are learning so much—academically, socially, and spiritually. Most importantly, they are happy, loved, and thriving every day. We highly recommend New Song Academy to any family looking for a caring, educational, and faith-filled environment.

I really loved this place when I first brought my son here back in 2023. That’s what makes this so disappointing. For a Christian daycare, I truly did not expect my son to be pushed out simply because he wasn’t potty trained on their timeline. He’s a good kid—sweet, loving, well-behaved—and that still wasn’t enough. Not all daycares are like this. In fact, ABC Learning Center in Edmonds takes kids who aren’t potty trained, just as an example for parents who might be going through the same heartbreak we did. Losing a spot is devastating when it has nothing to do with behavior—just because a child didn’t meet a deadline. Here’s the truth: not all kids develop at the same pace. Not every child talks early or potty trains early. But here, it felt like if your child isn’t an overachiever, they immediately start pressuring you. I was pushed toward autism testing and getting him labeled, even though I wasn’t ready and didn’t feel good about it. The pressure was intense and honestly overwhelming. I want to warn other parents: if your child develops on their own schedule, if they’re behind in any way, or if they need a little extra time—this might not be the place for you. That’s my honest experience. I walked away feeling like something was “wrong” with my son because he didn’t meet their very high expectations. Maybe he does need support—that’s fine. But pushing parents into things they’re not ready for, or removing a child because he didn’t meet a specific milestone “in time,” does not feel supportive. And it definitely didn’t feel Christlike. What happened to us hurt. And in my opinion, what they did didn’t line up with the grace and patience that a Christian daycare should show. I hope this review helps another parent avoid the stress, the pressure, and the heartache we went through.
