Both of my children attend Wee Care Academy, and our experience has been very positive. The teachers genuinely care about the kids and take the time to understand them as individuals. I’ve seen a lot of growth in my children, especially in their social skills, independence, and overall readiness for kindergarten. Like any school, no place is perfect, but the staff has always been caring and communicative, and it’s clear they work hard every day to support the children. Several of the teachers have also babysit for us outside of school hours, which speaks volumes about the trust parents have in them and the strong relationships they build with the kids. We feel confident leaving our children here and truly appreciate the consistency and effort the team and admin provides.
Pateel KajiokaJan 3, 2026WeeCare has wonderful teachers who genuinely cared for our kids—on that alone, they deserve 5 stars. However, I must drop down to 2 stars because the daycare is governed by a very rigid board of directors, and their inflexible rules leave almost no room for practical judgment or exceptions, even when a child’s well-being is at stake. Unfortunately, this rigidity also affects the administration as well, where empathy and problem-solving are often replaced by citing “policy” or “state rules.” Our breaking point came when our 3-year-old was dropped off an hour later than agreed upon with the center (he's in a special needs program) due to a public school district bussing error. The district took full responsibility and helped us rectify the issue, but WeeCare never notified us that our child was missing until he finally arrived at the center one hour late. They then refused to feed him because it fell outside their scheduled lunchtime and said their hands were tied by policy. There was no accountability for notifying us late and no willingness to make a reasonable exception for a hungry child. We ultimately removed our kids after this incident and our new center who has worked with the school district before said that you have to do what's best for the child which is feed them and then work diligently with the parents to make sure rules are adhered to, which I completely agree. If this was a pattern, it falls on the parents. If it is the first week where we are trying to iron out the details to a child receiving special care at another school that isn't ideal with the center's hours, then more empathy would have been appreciated. And ultimately, if it didn't work, then we go back to the drawing board to find a compromise. The teachers are excellent, but the board-driven rigidity and administrative response were deeply disappointing. There also has been quite a bit of turnover and we can understand why this is happening.
NamThien VuDec 23, 2025I’m disappointed to leave a 1-star review because there are some good teachers, but my experience was ultimately shaped by the administration. Staff turnover is extremely high—sometimes as often as monthly—which clearly affects the children. Administrative changes are not communicated transparently. In one class, classroom management was a concern; my son came home with significant scratches on his face more than once. Additionally, the school enforces many confusing and seemingly unimportant rules, such as strict backpack size requirements. I didn’t realize the full impact on my children until we left. While attending WeeCare, my son developed a stutter and had daily potty accident, both resolved within a week of leaving. Although I appreciated some of the teachers, the administrative team did a poor job running the program, and I would not recommend WeeCare because of this.
jessica lindegrenDec 23, 2025I cannot recommend Wee Care Academy Day Care highly enough. Sending our son, Zayn, here has been one of the best decisions we’ve made for his early development. Over his time at the academy, the growth we’ve witnessed has been remarkable, especially in two key areas: communication and independence. The staff is absolutely phenomenal, particularly Ms. Sammy and Ms. Tia. They are truly exceptional teachers who approach their work with incredible warmth, skill, and patience. Thanks to their dedicated guidance and nurturing environment, Zayn has become much more expressive and articulate; his confidence in communicating his needs and ideas has skyrocketed. Likewise, his sense of independence has flourished. He now tackles new challenges with enthusiasm and shows a wonderful willingness to help himself and others. Beyond the classroom experience, the teachers and staff are highly proactive. We deeply appreciate how committed they are to maintaining open, frequent, and meaningful communication with parents. We always feel involved and informed about Zayn’s day-to-day activities and overall progress. This high level of engagement is what truly sets Wee Care Academy apart.
Kunal BalaniOct 25, 2025My daughter started attending Wee Care Academy when she was 4 months old starting as a Roly Poly, then Catepillar, Ladybug, and finally a Butterfly! I had to return to work and was very hesitant to leave my child with strangers. The level of service and comfort they provided put my mind to ease. We toured at least 7 separate day cares and WCA was by far the best! We loved the staff! They were absolutely incredible - communication sent several times a day with pictures and details about my child's day, what she's learning, how she's growing and changing, new things she's exploring. From the creative activities and genuine sense of concern to the rigorous safety measures taken and the freedom to explore outdoors. Anytime I had questions or concerns, they were quick to respond and provided thorough details. I highly recommend WCA to any family!
regina melemaiJan 15, 2022Update 2024: the review below applies to the time when my kid attended the school (2019-2022). I've heard that unfortunately a lot has changed since that :( I am sooooo glad I found this amazing school (and this is coming from someone who toured around 30 schools; just to give you an idea of how much effort I put into finding the best daycare for my kid). The school has "wee care" words in its name, and these are not just words. We've been here for two years, and I can say for sure they DO care. They've created a warm, kind environment with a focus on the outdoors where our children truly thrive. We are so grateful for everything you guys do!
