WILLOW TREE CHINESE BILINGUAL PRESCHOOL

Our son has been at Willow Tree for a little less than a year and I can honestly say it’s been a fantastic experience. He went from English-only to almost fully fluent in mandarin. He has learned how to socialize properly in a classroom and has accumulated so many valuable skills (motor, social emotional, and language). Most importantly, our son has a safe, loving and warm community where the teachers really see who he is and celebrate his unique talents. This is a well-structured intentional program with a lot to offer.

Our child absolutely loves this preschool! Every morning the kid is excited and eager to go, which says a lot. The meals are great, and we really appreciate the variety of healthy food options provided. The daily activities are engaging and well-balanced, helping kids learn while having fun. Most importantly, the teachers are warm, caring, and attentive—they create a safe and nurturing environment for the children. We’re very happy with our experience here and would highly recommend it to other families!

This daycare truly deserves more than five stars. From the moment we joined, we felt how warm and welcoming the environment is, and it has made such a positive difference for our family. Even though the outdoor space is not very large, it is thoughtfully set up with a variety of equipment that keeps the kids active and happy. The school also provides many fun and enriching activities like soccer, dancing, and park visits, which shows how much care and intention they put into creating joyful experiences for the children. The teachers are absolutely wonderful. The low teacher-to-student ratio allows each child to receive plenty of attention and support, and you can genuinely feel that the teachers enjoy being there and truly care about the kids. Ms. Hu and Ms. Tao are especially patient, attentive, and loving. Our daughter now sees Ms. Hu as her “second mom,” which says everything about the trust and bond they have built. Communication with the school is always clear, responsive, and reassuring for parents. We are also very impressed by how thoughtfully the learning activities are designed. The teachers put so much creativity into their teaching materials — for example, they made a cardboard “TV” with scrolling posters that create moving pictures for storytelling. The toys are always clean, modern, and up to date, and the daily curriculum includes different themes and activities that keep learning engaging and fun. Most importantly, we have seen an incredible transformation in our daughter, Anya. She used to be very quiet and shy, but with the teachers’ love, patience, and encouragement, she has gradually become much more outgoing, confident, and joyful. We are truly grateful for everything they have done for her. We feel very lucky to be part of this community and highly recommend this daycare to any family looking for a caring and nurturing environment.

Our child started at this school when he was two and a half years old. At the time, he was very sensitive and lacked a sense of security, and we were honestly worried about how he would adjust. The teachers were incredibly patient and supportive, gently helping him adapt at his own pace. With their care and encouragement, he gradually built confidence and a sense of security. He has also become more and more independent, which has been wonderful to see. Watching his growth and transformation has been such a relief and joy for us as parents. Now he goes to school happily every day. The new 85th Street campus is spacious and bright, creating a wonderful learning environment. His recent classroom transition was also very smooth, thanks to the thoughtful preparation and support from the staff. We are so glad we chose this school and are very happy with our decision.

Highly recommend Willow Tree Chinese Preschool! Our child has been in the Bunny Class since the new location opened in July 2025. Starting as a 15-month-old, the transition was smooth thanks to the wonderful teachers who truly care about each child's well-being. The immersion environment is fantastic, and the new campus is a beautiful space for kids to learn and play. It’s been a joy watching our child thrive here over the last several months. A great choice for families looking for a high-quality Chinese program!
