  • Our experience with Acton Midwest has been truly wonderful! My 2.5 year old niece has grown so much academically, socially and emotionally. The environment is warm, engaging, and full of hands on learning opportunities that spark curiosity and help children thrive. We’ve seen her confidence, independence, language, and emotional awareness blossom through the thoughtful activities and daily explorations. As a reading instructional coach and interventionist, and an educator with over 25 years of experience, I am incredibly impressed with the intentionality behind the activities, the focus on whole child development, and the way independence and critical thinking are nurtured at such a young age. There are so many meaningful opportunities for children to learn, grow, and build strong foundational skills. We are so grateful for the care, encouragement, and high quality learning she receives at Acton Midwest!

  • We’ve absolutely loved our experience with Acton Midwest. You can truly see the care and intention behind everything they do. Our friends and family have noticed such positive growth and confidence, and we’re so thankful for the supportive environment they create. The space itself is also a great part of the community. They open it up for community events and wellness workshops, which makes it feel welcoming and connected beyond just the school. We’re really grateful to have Acton Midwest and highly recommend it.

  • I truly appreciate what Acton Midwest is doing for families in our community. Early childhood is not a race. It’s a season — and this space honors that. You can feel the intention the moment you walk in. It’s calm. It’s thoughtful. It’s not chaotic or rushed. It feels like children are actually being seen. I love that it’s small by design. That matters. Children aren’t being managed — they’re being guided. Their transitions from home are handled gently. Their emotions are respected. Their pace is honored. As someone who values foundation over frenzy, I deeply respect environments that protect the early years instead of pushing performance too soon. If you’re looking for something more intentional than traditional daycare, something that feels rooted in care and presence — Acton Midwest is worth your attention. Spaces like this matter. 🤍

  • My 2 young daughters participated in the Acton summer camps and they absolutely loved it! I felt so secure knowing that they were in the best of hands. They were greeted every day by camp staff, and even learned strong social skills, such as making eye contact, a handshake, and greeting people by name in those daily greetings. The camp staff were incredibly kind. The girls came home every day with new learnings and new friendships. I recall my kids coming home with their artwork they created at camp. The artwork was so incredibly beautiful, and the artwork remains framed in our house to this day! I highly recommended Acton.

  • Supporting the Children’s Business Fair - Onalaska was an easy yes. The event is well organized, mission-driven, and truly empowers youth to think and act like entrepreneurs. Being a judge for the event was a blast!

Questions parents ask about ACTON MIDWEST

Is ACTON MIDWEST a licensed child care provider in Wisconsin?

ACTON MIDWEST holds Wisconsin licence 0000591860-002, listed as "LICENSED" by the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families in La Crosse County, licensed since 2026-01-29. Confirm current standing on the state's provider search at childcarefinder.wisconsin.gov before enrolling.

What is ACTON MIDWEST's YoungStar rating?

YoungStar rates ACTON MIDWEST 2 stars out of five. The rating covers staff education, the learning environment, business practices and child well-being, not inspection outcomes, and it is separate from the licence.

What are ACTON MIDWEST's hours?

The state directory lists 07:00 AM-04:30 PM, Jan-Dec, full time. Wisconsin records the daily window but not which days it applies to, and hours change without the licence record changing, so call ahead.

What ages does ACTON MIDWEST take?

The licence covers 1 year 6 months to 17 years. That is the span Wisconsin licenses the provider for, not a list of the rooms it runs, so ask which age groups it is actually staffing.

Does this page show inspection results for ACTON MIDWEST?

No. Wisconsin publishes licensing violations for each provider, and none of them are included here, so nothing on this page reflects ACTON MIDWEST's inspection history either way. Read the violation record on the state's provider search at childcarefinder.wisconsin.gov.
