Absolutely adorable and gorgeous experience! The book features were precious and nostalgic. We had a great time. Lovely little morning outing.
Amelia MasseyJul 21, 2026Quaint, low stimulating, creative and artistic vibe for kids 7 and under. Definitely a place to check out at least once!
Ben CraneJul 3, 2026We visited with our kids and 5 grandkids on Saturday morning - no wait. The book displays are creative and entertaining, and the gardens and flowers are beautiful. Everything was very well kept up, with plenty of "hands-on" exhibits for the kids. The kids (ages 20 months to 7 years) loved it, as did we!
Dave KernJun 29, 2026Wonderful- asking ourselves how more gardens like these don’t exist around WI! We are from Madison and had the best time here with our 2 and 4 year old. A great price for an interactive few hours. Well kept grounds, beautiful flowers, friendly staff and so so so many nooks and crannies of story telling! This is a 10/10 hands down! Can’t wait to come back.
Ashley MalinowskiJun 14, 2026Wonderful, unique, and a lot of fun for the family! I knew from reading about the location online that it would be cool, but it exceeded my expectations! The garden itself is stunning, well-shaded, and easy to navigate, but the interactive children’s book settings throughout, along with the laminated copies of each book so you could read to your kids as you went (and the shaded sitting areas for reading) were all incredible! We spent two hours here and could have spent more! The only thing I would have liked to see different was to make some of the stations a bit more interactive (why not add a chimney with a ladder to climb on the third little pig’s brick house? A Swiss Family Robinson treehouse to play in? I think it would be cool to have playground-like engagement opportunities for the book settings, though I understand that perhaps the point is getting the kids to focus more on the books than on play? My kids enjoyed a mix of both! And for us coming from out of town, that little extra bit of play would have been a fun addition, but as it stood, we still had a great experience). We also appreciated how well maintained the grounds and bathrooms were. Note: there are no trash receptacles for outside food and beverages, etc. so having something to store garbage is a good idea if you bring a picnic lunch! The garden has a few picnic benches throughout, as well as several seating areas for reading. If visiting Sheboygan or surrounding areas with littles, it’s a can’t miss! The place is truly achieving their mission of deepening the love of books for little ones. My son loved reading “Little Blue Truck” while sitting in a little blue truck and typing on typewriters while reading about cows typing on typewriters!
Amy BierbaumJun 13, 2026The best botanical garden I have ever been to. The plant variety and amount of flowers every was amazing. Such a beautiful place and with so many areas for the children. I have a 3 and 5 year old and they absolutely loved it!

Questions parents ask about BOOKWORM GARDENS
Is BOOKWORM GARDENS a licensed child care provider in Wisconsin?
- BOOKWORM GARDENS holds Wisconsin licence 5000593545-001, listed as "LICENSED" by the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families in Sheboygan County, licensed since 2025-09-04. Confirm current standing on the state's provider search at childcarefinder.wisconsin.gov before enrolling.
What is BOOKWORM GARDENS's YoungStar rating?
- The directory shows no YoungStar rating for BOOKWORM GARDENS. YoungStar participation is not universal, so a provider without one has not been rated rather than been rated badly, and it is licensed and regulated either way.
What are BOOKWORM GARDENS's hours?
- The state directory lists 09:00 AM-12:00 PM, Jun-Jul. Wisconsin records the daily window but not which days it applies to, and hours change without the licence record changing, so call ahead.
What ages does BOOKWORM GARDENS take?
- The licence covers 3 years to 11 years 11 months. That is the span Wisconsin licenses the provider for, not a list of the rooms it runs, so ask which age groups it is actually staffing.
Does this page show inspection results for BOOKWORM GARDENS?
- No. Wisconsin publishes licensing violations for each provider, and none of them are included here, so nothing on this page reflects BOOKWORM GARDENS's inspection history either way. Read the violation record on the state's provider search at childcarefinder.wisconsin.gov.
