  • Bright horizons has been very good for our family and the teachers. There all really show how much they care. You can really tell the difference in quality of care in Bright horizons versus a smaller daycare. You get what you pay for

  • I can’t say enough good things about this daycare. My 2 year old didn’t even cry at drop off starting the second day (amazing)! He absolutely loves his teachers, the facility is clean and very nice, and the activities they do with the kids are so creative and awesome. Really setting them up for success and focusing on each individual child’s needs. The director, assistant director, and all the teachers we have met are so kind, very prompt, and have gone above and beyond to make my son comfortable. Thank you for the amazing care! We are so happy we made the switch to Bright Horizons at the American Center!

  • We have two kiddos here! We as parents love it and so do our kids! We started here when my daughter was about 2.5 yrs old and then our baby started when she was 3 months old. Great teachers in each classroom that listen and respect the parents and kids. They are always helping and finding ways to meet the kiddo where they are developmentally and emotionally. Nancy, the lead educator, is a major asset to their team and the children love her! We are so happy we found Bright Horizons!!

  • This is by far the best daycare we have ever been to. The staff is always friendly and happy to help. As a new mom they also gave some pointers which reduced the anxiety of all the new experiences that come along with being new parents. When we moved out of state we wish we could have taken the staff with us. We will definetly stay in touch and share photos of growing. Bright Horizons was like a family to us.

  • I am writing this review with great hesitation, but after reflecting on my experience, I feel compelled to share. My child attended this daycare for a couple of years, and while the first year and a half were positive with a capable teacher, the quality of care sharply declined afterward. Unfortunately, I deeply regret leaving my child in this environment for as long as I did. This daycare charges significantly more than others in the area—nearly $500 more per month—but provides substandard care. One concerning practice I learned about was that the “cozy corner” is essentially used as a timeout space for children. More troubling were the issues with the staff. One teacher consistently smelled strongly of marijuana, raising concerns about her professionalism and judgment, especially given that she also drives her own small child to the daycare. It was clear her car reeked of marijuana upon arrival. Despite this, I found her preferable to another staff member who routinely yelled at children and neglected basic care, leaving them soaking wet and unclean. The overall environment lacked accountability. While staff in the main office appeared disengaged and unwilling to assist, the remaining team members were left overwhelmed and stressed. This lack of support only compounded the issues with care. In hindsight, I regret not removing my child sooner. This experience has left me deeply disheartened about the state of childcare in the U.S. It is clear that the system does not value children, and the hiring practices reflect this, with underqualified individuals entrusted with these critical roles.

  • Bright Horizons is a great choice for full time child care. The onboarding process is painless, the facility is nice, spacious, and full of natural light, communication with both the teachers and the director has always been quick and easy…I’ve never had a question or email go unanswered. Any issues or concerns I’ve had have always been heard, acknowledged, and addressed. There’s children and teachers from all sorts of backgrounds and cultures. Plus this organization is military friendly in that it’s in a partnership with Child Care Aware.

Questions parents ask about BRIGHT HORIZONS AT THE AMER CTR

Is BRIGHT HORIZONS AT THE AMER CTR a licensed child care provider in Wisconsin?

BRIGHT HORIZONS AT THE AMER CTR holds Wisconsin licence 6000558236-010, listed as "LICENSED" by the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families in Dane County, licensed since 1997-07-01. Confirm current standing on the state's provider search at childcarefinder.wisconsin.gov before enrolling.

What is BRIGHT HORIZONS AT THE AMER CTR's YoungStar rating?

YoungStar rates BRIGHT HORIZONS AT THE AMER CTR 5 stars out of five. The rating covers staff education, the learning environment, business practices and child well-being, not inspection outcomes, and it is separate from the licence.

What are BRIGHT HORIZONS AT THE AMER CTR's hours?

The state directory lists 07:00 AM-05:45 PM, Jan-Dec, full time. Wisconsin records the daily window but not which days it applies to, and hours change without the licence record changing, so call ahead.

What ages does BRIGHT HORIZONS AT THE AMER CTR take?

The licence covers 6 weeks to 6 years 11 months. That is the span Wisconsin licenses the provider for, not a list of the rooms it runs, so ask which age groups it is actually staffing.

Does this page show inspection results for BRIGHT HORIZONS AT THE AMER CTR?

No. Wisconsin publishes licensing violations for each provider, and none of them are included here, so nothing on this page reflects BRIGHT HORIZONS AT THE AMER CTR's inspection history either way. Read the violation record on the state's provider search at childcarefinder.wisconsin.gov.
