  • Creek Day School was an absolute dream for our family! Both of our kids attended, and we couldn’t have been happier with the love, care, and attention they received every day. The teachers—Teresa, Jacki, and Heidi—were phenomenal. Their warmth, patience, and dedication were evident in everything they did, and their long-term presence at the school created such a stable and welcoming environment for the kids. The school’s director, Marge, was a treasure. She was warm, funny, and endlessly caring. Her leadership made the school a truly special place, and her knack for creating meaningful experiences for the kids—like getting them involved in the vegetable garden—was one of the many things that set Creek Day School apart. The facilities were equally impressive. The classrooms were full of engaging play and learning activities, and the outdoor space was incredible. There was a sandpit, a mud kitchen, play equipment, and even a wooded area and rolling hills that encouraged exploration and imaginative play. It was the kind of setting where kids could really be kids, and we loved knowing our children had so much room to grow and thrive. On top of everything, the pricing was incredibly reasonable for the exceptional quality of care and education provided. My husband and I, along with other parents, often joked that Creek Day School was one of the best-kept secrets in Madison. Looking back, we feel so lucky to have been part of this wonderful community. Creek Day School is truly a gem, and our kids will always cherish the memories they made there.

  • Both of my kids attended Creek and I can't recommend it more highly. The teachers are smart, kind, and very level headed. The program mixes some learning with a lot of play, peer interactions, and exploration that kids that age need. My children were well prepared for kindergarten and were much better at interacting with other kids in a positive and kind way after their time at Creek.

  • The staff at Creek are incredible, with decades of collective experience and endless dedication to the health, safety, and growth of their students. The location is also wonderful - once a church, now a community center with an enormous garden and playground for the kids to run around in all seasons. We have had two children attend and both have had a wonderful experience.

  • I would argue that the best early education teachers in madison are here. Sent both of my girls here until kindergarten and it's been wonderful. Experienced staff, fulfilling activities everyday, and reasonable childcare prices.

  • My son attended Creek for several years and I think of it as a diamond in the rough. In short, I highly recommended the center to others! More details below: Facility: The center is tucked away on a residential neighborhood and we initially found it only because it was near to the home we moved into. However, we soon found that being tucked away and a bit less busy than some larger centers were great assets. Their massive fenced-in outdoor area allowed our son lots of outdoor play with friends and nature, pickups and dropoffs were easy, and there is even a community garden that the kids could help tend if they wanted. The building itself is older but well-loved and safely maintained, with plenty of space for the classes to separate and come together as needed. There is a kitchen where lunch for the kids is freshly prepared each day. Teachers: Most of the staff have been at the center for many years and are seasoned professionals who still love their jobs, their class, and your kid individually. The teachers provide a nice mix of learning opportunities, art time, play time, etc for the kids. My son was in Heidi, Teresa, and Jackie's classes, along with constant interactions with the director Marge, and loved them all. He returned for occasional day visits after leaving to kindergarten and first grade, and still runs to give his teachers hugs when he sees them. Other: We found the center was flexible to our childcare needs and prices were as good as child care prices can get in my experience. We considered a larger and more well-known child care center in the area, which from the outside looked more polished, when a waitlist spot came through, but we quickly came to the conclusion that we loved Creek too much to leave.

  • Our son has gone to Creek since he was 2 yrs old. We LOVE all the teachers and the director. Our son loves all the activities they do and they have a large outdoor play area. We feel that they have prepared our son very well for kindergarten.

Questions parents ask about CREEK DAY SCHOOL INC

Is CREEK DAY SCHOOL INC a licensed child care provider in Wisconsin?

CREEK DAY SCHOOL INC holds Wisconsin licence 7000557927-001, listed as "LICENSED" by the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families in Dane County, licensed since 1997-06-03. Confirm current standing on the state's provider search at childcarefinder.wisconsin.gov before enrolling.

What is CREEK DAY SCHOOL INC's YoungStar rating?

YoungStar rates CREEK DAY SCHOOL INC 5 stars out of five. The rating covers staff education, the learning environment, business practices and child well-being, not inspection outcomes, and it is separate from the licence.

What are CREEK DAY SCHOOL INC's hours?

The state directory lists 07:30 AM-05:30 PM, Jan-Dec, full time. Wisconsin records the daily window but not which days it applies to, and hours change without the licence record changing, so call ahead.

What ages does CREEK DAY SCHOOL INC take?

The licence covers 1 year 6 months to 8 years 11 months. That is the span Wisconsin licenses the provider for, not a list of the rooms it runs, so ask which age groups it is actually staffing.

Does this page show inspection results for CREEK DAY SCHOOL INC?

No. Wisconsin publishes licensing violations for each provider, and none of them are included here, so nothing on this page reflects CREEK DAY SCHOOL INC's inspection history either way. Read the violation record on the state's provider search at childcarefinder.wisconsin.gov.
