  • I would never send my child to this daycare… I witnessed their daycare van driver driving in the wrong lane of Travel and immediately called and spoke to the manager and she didn’t even apologize. She just said that she would call the person and talk to them… Highly unsafe.

  • Will never send my children there again. I was told one price when I was showed the daycare but at the end of the first month I was hit with a bill for over two thousand dollars more than what I was told what I would be billed. The owner was so rude and disrespectful and told me that those were the old rates and that the person that showed me misquoted the prices and refused to honor them.

  • My daughter has been going to Gard N Angel since she was 6 months old. I know she’s safe when she is there and that she is being treated well. She’s also learning so much and has fun! The staff is great!

  • The owner tries to pass this place off as a posh education center and she talks a really good game. But in reality this daycare center often skirts state laws, undermines their staff, fails to provide support adequately for both children and staff, and their approach to discipline in policy versus action in practice is quite opposite. There were multiple occasions when picking up my child that I heard staff openly commenting to each other on their negative / uneasy work environment and rude treatment by the owner. Although they abide by child/teacher ratios mostly, there was an instance in which there the ratio was violated with no second teacher available and having too many kids. Often my child would have to be moved around when they couldn't support the ratios. This caused an uneasy time for my child to build a relationship with the teacher(s). My child also did not like going to the center. There was not a positive nurturing environment when we came to drop off or pick up. The practice of being passed from one room to another had additional side effects for my child's emotional stability and health. My child has been in daycare for quite some time, but while at Gard N Angel, the amount of times my child got sick increased drastically (incurring expensive ER and excessive doctor bills). I wholeheartedly believe this was due the practice of constantly changing classrooms (transferring illnesses from room to room) and failing to take proper steps to clean and sanitize the whole room daily or after illnesses. Since leaving this center her health immediately improved and hasn't been ill since (with the exception of a common cold). In addition, Gard N Angel feels that an acceptable form of discipline is to scream at a child when they are doing wrong. Now don't misunderstand me, I am not saying that children don't need a stern talking to from time to time. However, screaming at a child when you are frustrated with their behavior is unacceptable! This seemed to be fairly common form of discipline at Gard N Angel by a couple of aggressive staff members. From my perspective, the teachers were overwhelmed and struggled to keep their cool as there was lack of support in the classrooms. I don't want to paint a picture that all of the teachers here were bad. There were a few teachers at Gard N Angel that were very caring, spent quality time with the children, and were engaging to ensure positive learning. Unfortunately, most of those teachers with those qualities either leave in relatively short time or are unhappy in their work environment. In the end, I chose to take my child elsewhere. But you can do what you want. This is the kind of place where it is highly suggested to check thoroughly. Do not be fooled by their rating as a center...there are many things unknown to the people who give them that rating; they may look good on paper...but definitely seek out referrals. This is, without saying, not a good recommendation.

  • I am so beyond grateful to have found this daycare for my son. I was nervous to put my son in daycare, after the first week I was completely comfortable. He has grown into such a smart little boy and I have his teachers to thank for that! The teachers are so beyond patient and care for each and every child! I would recommend this daycare to any first time Mom hands down! Thank you Gard N Angel for being such a great, clean, and well organized facility!

Questions parents ask about GARD N ANGEL CHILD CARE CENTER

Is GARD N ANGEL CHILD CARE CENTER a licensed child care provider in Wisconsin?

GARD N ANGEL CHILD CARE CENTER holds Wisconsin licence 4000590914-001, listed as "LICENSED" by the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families in Milwaukee County, licensed since 2022-08-12. Confirm current standing on the state's provider search at childcarefinder.wisconsin.gov before enrolling.

What is GARD N ANGEL CHILD CARE CENTER's YoungStar rating?

YoungStar rates GARD N ANGEL CHILD CARE CENTER 5 stars out of five. The rating covers staff education, the learning environment, business practices and child well-being, not inspection outcomes, and it is separate from the licence.

What are GARD N ANGEL CHILD CARE CENTER's hours?

The state directory lists 06:00 AM-06:00 PM, Jan-Dec, full time. Wisconsin records the daily window but not which days it applies to, and hours change without the licence record changing, so call ahead.

What ages does GARD N ANGEL CHILD CARE CENTER take?

The licence covers 6 weeks to 13 years. That is the span Wisconsin licenses the provider for, not a list of the rooms it runs, so ask which age groups it is actually staffing.

Does this page show inspection results for GARD N ANGEL CHILD CARE CENTER?

No. Wisconsin publishes licensing violations for each provider, and none of them are included here, so nothing on this page reflects GARD N ANGEL CHILD CARE CENTER's inspection history either way. Read the violation record on the state's provider search at childcarefinder.wisconsin.gov.
