  • Our daughter loves Diane in the infant room. Management really cares for the children in the center and are extremely professional and respectful.

  • DO NOT bring your babies here! my 2 year old daughter has been bullied by a 5 year old boy being pushed to the ground and into book cases. Not a single person had told us this was happening, it wasn’t until we came to pick her up that we had witnessed it. Then my daughter started crying uncontrollably out of nowhere, I thought it was because she wanted to play outside, until her teacher just said her “bully” was in the group coming towards us. At this point I had realized that this had been going on for quite some time with nothing addressed. I called the director that same day. The phone call was pointless, she was condescending, and ignored all of my concerns. I called the regional manager, she admitted that the director lied to her. After we told her during the meeting she lied to our face. The regional director said they would keep them separated and they didn't. there is ZERO accountability. On Friday I was watching the live stream and saw another toddler tackled on the playground being held down end then pushed back down three more times by another older boy that looked to be 5 or 6. The boy was completely on top of the toddler with his hand on his head. when the toddler finally got away the boy tackled him back down again. This lasted about 7 minutes with ZERO intervention. I immediately contacted the director on the app with zero response. The regional manager blames the teachers even though the director says everything happening is NOT considered bullying and does NOT require an accident report. On Monday, I tried watching my daughter play outside and the camera was dis-abled. I immediately put my coat and to get her. I asked the director why I can't see my daughter on the camera...her response...PARENTS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO SEE THE PLAYGROUND CAMERA. why would there be a playground camera if the parents are not allowed to see???? it conveniently happened to be right after I saw another older boy aggressively bullying a toddler. She said she saw it and she took care of it and then after talking she said she wasn't there even though I saw her on the camera. I immediately called the 1800 number for La petite said the location Explained what happened and the woman said they absolutely are not allowed to restrict parents from seeing live stream Of the playground. These children truly are not safe under this leadership. The director and assistant director have no business working with children. Im honestly shocked that this location hasn't been closed. If you look this location up online they have SEVERAL violations just in 2025. And a 2 star state rating. We are actively looking for a new daycare after all of this. Also, I ALWAYS defended the teachers until today when a teacher told my fiance that I was throwing F bombs on the playground while speaking to the director. That is a straight up LIE. I didn’t say any sort of swear word. We really loved you as a teacher and you lied through your teeth. We pay too much money to be treated like this. I am beyond disgusted by all of you covering up for each other.

  • I’m deeply grateful for Diane and her team’s exceptional leadership and the outstanding care my son receives at this daycare. The staff is warm, attentive, and truly committed to creating a safe, nurturing environment. Each day, my son enjoys a variety of engaging activities—circle time, arts and crafts, story sessions, outdoor play, and age-appropriate educational games—all thoughtfully guided by Diane’s team. They foster positive social interaction among the children, which I greatly value. I also appreciate Diane’s leadership in providing regular updates and photos that give me a window into my son’s day. It’s reassuring to know he is happy, learning, and well cared for.

  • Our daughter has been going to la petite in Fitchburg for about a year (she is ~15 months old at time of review). We are doing part time three days a week here. It's one of the few places I'm aware of that accommodates part time which has been really nice. The food she's given looks good and she enjoys, seems like good variety. Our experience with the teachers there has been nothing but positive. There has been some leadership turnover while we have been here but it did not impact my daughter getting care or the wonderful job the classroom teachers do from our perspective. I feel we get ample communication about our child's care. My daughter is happy to see the teachers there each day. In particular she's always happy to see Ms Diane every moring. Daycare isn't easy work and we feel la petite Fitchburg cares for our daughter well.

  • Miss Diane is amazing!! My son loves going to Lapetite Fitchburg, but overall it’s because of her. She’s caring, patient, and truly dedicated to helping kids learn and grow. The center itself is nice. I love the camera access in all the rooms, and the teachers are so nice. Yes there has been some turnover in directors, but I think they got it figured out now, and the new director Justine is great! Highly recommend!!

Questions parents ask about LA PETITE ACADEMY FITCHBURG

Is LA PETITE ACADEMY FITCHBURG a licensed child care provider in Wisconsin?

LA PETITE ACADEMY FITCHBURG holds Wisconsin licence 8000558368-005, listed as "LICENSED" by the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families in Dane County, licensed since 2000-07-17. Confirm current standing on the state's provider search at childcarefinder.wisconsin.gov before enrolling.

What is LA PETITE ACADEMY FITCHBURG's YoungStar rating?

YoungStar rates LA PETITE ACADEMY FITCHBURG 2 stars out of five. The rating covers staff education, the learning environment, business practices and child well-being, not inspection outcomes, and it is separate from the licence.

What are LA PETITE ACADEMY FITCHBURG's hours?

The state directory lists 06:30 AM-06:00 PM, Jan-Dec, full time. Wisconsin records the daily window but not which days it applies to, and hours change without the licence record changing, so call ahead.

What ages does LA PETITE ACADEMY FITCHBURG take?

The licence covers 6 weeks to 11 years 11 months. That is the span Wisconsin licenses the provider for, not a list of the rooms it runs, so ask which age groups it is actually staffing.

Does this page show inspection results for LA PETITE ACADEMY FITCHBURG?

No. Wisconsin publishes licensing violations for each provider, and none of them are included here, so nothing on this page reflects LA PETITE ACADEMY FITCHBURG's inspection history either way. Read the violation record on the state's provider search at childcarefinder.wisconsin.gov.
