Instead of screens, the kids get to grow tomatoes, pet horses, go on nature walks… such a fun and educational environment. There are the teaching independence and educational aspects of Montessori, but Ms. Suzanne adjusts her approach to each child’s personality/learning needs. The social skills they learn are just as important as the ABCs in my opinion! Highly recommend!

We are so fortunate to have found such an amazing preschool after relocating from Minnesota this past summer! The location is absolutely perfect for nature based learning, nestled in the beautiful woods north of Cross Plains. Miss Susanne's Montessori learning style, along with her teaching experience, has allowed our 4 year old daughter to thrive. We are amazed with how much she has learned in the 2 short months she has been attending! She loves being out in nature and is excited for school each and every day. Susanne and Mike are the most kindhearted people you will meet. We couldn't have asked for a better preschool!

Our 4-year-old absolutely loves Little Log Cabin Montessori! She wakes up excited to go to school every morning—and even asks to go on weekends. Miss Susanne creates such a warm, nurturing environment and instills beautiful wisdom and a genuine love of learning. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Little Log Cabin Montessori – Cross Plains, WI Miss Sussane is such a wonderful, calming presence. Her Montessori school is absolutely adorable — nestled just off the main road behind her home, surrounded by nature and adventurous trails. The children get to explore outdoors, go on hikes, do crafts, and learn about the days of the week, months of the year, and so much more through hands-on experiences. The small class size has been perfect for my little boy, who has struggled with separation anxiety. Drop-offs are still tough some days, but Miss Sussane and her amazing helper, Miss Rina, always help him calm down and feel safe. He has adjusted so well here. My 2½-year-old daughter recently started too, and it’s been a wonderful transition for both of them. We had tried a larger 3K program last year, but it was overwhelming for my son. Little Log Cabin Montessori has been the perfect bridge from being home with me to learning and socializing in a nurturing, home-based school environment. I can’t wait to see how both of my kids continue to grow over the next few years with Miss Sussane. We feel so lucky to have found this hidden gem!

Our daughter has a developmental delay and Susanne welcomed her with open arms. She worked with the school to coordinate a private speech session 4 times a week at little log cabin. Her pricing was very fair. My daughter was happy there! We moved but still use her for drop in care when there’s no school. 1000% recommend her!
