  • Our family is so thankful that our community has little scholars! Their team of teachers is so strong and well-versed in developmental curriculum. It is evident that they prioritize, nurturing and supporting all their students at all stages of development!

  • I couldn't be more thankful for the teachers in the orange room! I feel so good bringing my baby to them for their 4k program. I feel like we are a team working together to help my baby be the best version of himself all while learning in STRIDES. If you're picking 4k for your little, PICK EARLY SCHOLARS BEGINNINGS!!!

  • We love taking our kids here! They genuinely have great days and love their teachers so much. It is more expensive than other places around, but the quality is more than worth it to us!

  • It’s sad to see so many bad reviews about this place. My daughter loves going here and learns so many new things! They call me if she isn’t feeling well or to tell me she accidentally bumped her head. Most negative reviews are about payment. Pay your bills and it’s not an issue. The employees in the yellow room are sweet and attentive.

  • As a former employee and current parent at both Little Scholars and Little Scholars Beginnings, I cannot say enough POSITIVE statements about the care my daughter has always received. Tonya is always available to communicate my concerns (the few that I’ve had in the last 3.5 years) and has called and met with me on her personal time (weekends). Angie & Taylor (the office staff)are great, and always make it a point to engage with my daughter on a daily basis. They are always kind enough to express their concerns when she is sick and I have to call her in and have immediately contacted me when she gets injured at daycare. My daughter is constantly calling me by her teachers name’s and absolutely loves going to school to see her “kids”. Everyone at this facility (the administrators, teachers, kids, and families) are all like family to us.

  • Words can’t express how happy my husband and I are with Little Scholars! I have been taking my two children there for many years and will be taking my soon to be third baby there as well. My children literally run to their teachers arms when I drop them off and most of the time they don’t want to leave when I pick them up. They are in the Orange and Berry rooms. All of those teachers are fabulous! Great personalities and friendly! I feel comfortable leaving them there as I know they are in great hands with Miss Michele and Miss Patience. The teachers never hesitate to call me if anything comes up that I should know about or they will communicate and chat with me at pick up time if I have any questions. They worked with my oldest and now my younger child with potty training and do a good job at being consistent. I believe they have them on a 2 hr schedule. My children are always bringing home art that they do and are always so excited to show me. Turnover is no different than any other daycare and I do have a lot of friends at other centers and we talk. Not to mention Little Scholars is a lot larger then other centers which means they are in need of a lot more staff. I know other centers only have a few spots, like 8. I believe that between the two Little Scholars buildings, they have like 45 infant spots! The office staff and Tonya the owner has always been really easy to talk to. I know Tonya, the owner is not their a lot because she is busy or at the other center, but I have always been able to get a hold of Angie or Taylor if I need someone. I believe Tonya does all the billing and the billing process has always been smooth for all the years that I have been there. But, then again “I pay” my tuition. I’ve read other posts about parents having all these billing issues, but it’s probably because they are not paying. They say that Tonya’s all about money, but that is so far from the truth. I have never met another nicer person. If she calls someone for money, then isn’t it obvious it’s probably because “they didn’t pay”. With centers as large as hers, she needs “paying parents”. After all, at the end of the day, it is a “business”. My payments get automatically pulled out of my checking account every Thursday like clockwork. Yes she does charge me even if the center is closed for a holiday, but I am given 10 free days per child that I can use on those days if I choose. I feel blessed to have my children attending and getting their education from Little Scholars.

Questions parents ask about LITTLE SCHOLARS CC AND PRESCHOOL

Is LITTLE SCHOLARS CC AND PRESCHOOL a licensed child care provider in Wisconsin?

LITTLE SCHOLARS CC AND PRESCHOOL holds Wisconsin licence 5000571415-002, listed as "LICENSED" by the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families in Portage County, licensed since 2007-08-20. Confirm current standing on the state's provider search at childcarefinder.wisconsin.gov before enrolling.

What is LITTLE SCHOLARS CC AND PRESCHOOL's YoungStar rating?

YoungStar rates LITTLE SCHOLARS CC AND PRESCHOOL 4 stars out of five. The rating covers staff education, the learning environment, business practices and child well-being, not inspection outcomes, and it is separate from the licence.

What are LITTLE SCHOLARS CC AND PRESCHOOL's hours?

The state directory lists 06:30 AM-06:00 PM, Jan-Dec, full time. Wisconsin records the daily window but not which days it applies to, and hours change without the licence record changing, so call ahead.

What ages does LITTLE SCHOLARS CC AND PRESCHOOL take?

The licence covers 6 weeks to 12 years 11 months. That is the span Wisconsin licenses the provider for, not a list of the rooms it runs, so ask which age groups it is actually staffing.

Does this page show inspection results for LITTLE SCHOLARS CC AND PRESCHOOL?

No. Wisconsin publishes licensing violations for each provider, and none of them are included here, so nothing on this page reflects LITTLE SCHOLARS CC AND PRESCHOOL's inspection history either way. Read the violation record on the state's provider search at childcarefinder.wisconsin.gov.
