LITTLE WOODLAND PRESCHOOL LAKE MILLS CAMPUS

It’s taken me a while to post a review because I had been so upset about our experience at Little Woodland. When our child first started there he was in the baby room, the staff that were typically in there were wonderful. Once he moved up to the next room we had nothing but problems. The first red flag I noticed was that he was having multiple blow outs every single day he was there. This never happened at home. I was breastfeeding/pumping and planned to do baby led weaning at 12 months which they claim to support. However, starting at 6 months they were really pushing us starting him on puréed foods and saying he didn’t have enough milk. Ultimately this caused me to have to end my breastfeeding journey prematurely and I believe he was being way overfed, causing his blowouts. The staff in the second level room were absolutely terrible. The one reeked like pot which I brought up multiple times. She verbally stated to me “I’m a grandma I can take care of kids but I don’t follow all these policies.” Everytime I would pick him up he was covered in food. The other one in the room was so loud and needed to be medicated. It made me anxious being around her for drop off, I can only imagine how the kids felt. These two who I would never trust in normal circumstances to watch my child took the kids for a walk in a wagon all the way downtown, which I was not notified of. When we enrolled there they said they never leave the parking lot. When they got downtown they ran into someone I know who informed me they were both swearing loudly and started trash talking my child saying “you can take this one, he has blowouts all the time.” I reported this to Ashley the director who said she would handle it. She informed me that they weren’t firing this piece of trash employee but she guaranteed me that my son would not have any contact with her. A week later I pull up early to pick him up and she’s standing right next to my son in the grassy play area. I could go on and on about how terrible this place is. There are a few good employees but other than that I wouldn’t trust any of them. It’s expensive, they close early all the time and close random days every month. They say they go by the school closures for lake mills, but they closed for snow when the school district didn’t, there ended up not being any snow. I also have pictures that they sent out of them pulling my son in a wagon with his hands tightly under a blanket with a bottle propped into his mouth. I’m shocked nothing more serious hasn’t happened at this place. Save yourself the stress and go elsewhere.

Im so happy we chose little woodland preschool for my daughter and son. They are very loved by they teachers. They are all truly amazing people. They tend to my children like they are their own. We are very grateful for little woodland preschool.

My kiddos have attended Little Woodland Preschool for a few years and we absolutely love it! The teachers are amazing - our kiddos smile when they see them in the morning and many of them have become friends. They have a great menu for the lunch/snacks offered while accommodating allergies. We get tons of pictures or updates through the day which is the highlight of my workday. I couldn’t ask for anything better in a daycare

We are so happy with our choice to send our child to Little Woodland Preschool! All of the staff are so kind and you can tell that they genuinely care about our daughter. They do an amazing job of keeping us updated about how she is doing each day and have so many fun activities that they do with the kids every day too. The environment that the owners have created is filled with love and learning and have really created a wonderful community that we are happy to be a part of.
