LOVING START PRESCHOOL

We feel so lucky to have found Loving Start Preschool—it really is a hidden gem. The small class size (about 6–7 children per two adults) is incredible and allows for so much individualized attention. Our child attends 3 days a week for 3 hours each day and is in Ms. Stephanie’s classroom. She absolutely loves going to preschool every week—she comes home so proud to show me the art she’s made, tell stories about her day and her friends, and even demonstrate yoga poses she’s learned. She also had a potty regression this year, and the teachers were incredibly supportive and communicative throughout the transition. They worked with me every day and gave daily updates, which really helped during that stressful time. The program itself is wonderful—full of art, music, story time, yoga, and more. It’s a warm, nurturing environment and we couldn’t recommend it more.

We love Loving Start Preschool!!! True to its name, it was the absolute most caring and positive beginning to our daughter’s school career. I am so happy we chose Loving Start and we can’t wait to enroll our son next Fall! Thanks Ms Annie and all the teachers who make this place so magical!

We were part of the Loving Start preschool community during the 2023-2024 school year. My daughter was 2 years 10 months, turning 3 at that time. Loving Start was our first experience with any sort of "non-family" child care/pre-school. From the very start of the school year, my own worries were set at ease. Loving Start had a wonderful process to slowly bring the children into the school setting. Through out the year, the teachers and parent volunteers were very, very thoughtful in the lessons and projects they taught the children. There were a lot of culturally diverse activities (such as celebrating holidays from other cultures ie- Chinese New Year and Holi). They also used art, singing, movement, outside play, inside active play in the "climber room", and sensory experiences to teach the children. The environment is extremely nurturing. My daughter began her Montessori education this (24-25) school year and has been very well adjusted to school and I believe that the foundation she formed at LSP is a huge part of her success in her school journey. Highly recommend. NOTE: My husband is Catholic and I am non-practicing of any religion, and while LSP is attached the the BV United Methodist Church, I didn't find LSP to be overly involved with religion. Just right, in my opinion.

We are so grateful to have found LSP! The teachers provide a consistent, fun, and caring environment for my daughter that is preparing her for kindergarten while also allowing her to be a kid. The school takes care to foster her childhood creativity and imagination while also teaching her critical skills. The entire LSP community - both the teachers and the parents/families - are welcoming and kind. I toured many preschools in the area and intuitively knew that LSP was the perfect fit for our family as soon as I met Ms. Annie and saw the school. Ms. Annie and all the teachers bring a level of dedication and compassion to the classroom that is apparent in all that they do. We love LSP!

I can't say enough good things about this preschool. They have been incredible with our daughter. The staff is truly kind and caring with each and every child. They read stories, play, do art - every day is something new and our daughter can't wait to tell us about it. Highly recommend!
