  • All the staff and teachers are sweet and welcoming. Last week my son was having a tough morning and so many of the teachers tried to help redirect him. You can tell they really care about the kids. 10/10 recommend.

  • I have a daughter who started at PB as an infant, I always had anxiety about daycares but the teachers at PoohBear are a very caring and dedicated team. My daughter is now 3 and she talks all about her teachers and the amazing days she has. Thank you PoohBear Childcare for treating my child as one of your own.

  • I do not recommend this daycare. I moved my kids out as fast as we could. Amongst the problems - medical issues not reported immediately by management (baby with a ruptured ear drum from infection), no information given about what had happened during the day for my 3 year old (no one could tell me if she napped or not), teachers were frequently entertaining kids by playing videos on their phones when I would pick up, playing age-inappropriate movies for kids, sometimes no one knew where my daughter was at pickup and she was hiding in the dark/closed down half of the room to get away from the chaos, some inexperienced teachers, lack of a good curriculum (some days the only activity listed/planned was a coloring sheet). My daughters cried at pretty much every drop off for months. After one month at a new daycare, both kids are happy and start playing right away at drop off. A lot of the teachers are caring and kind, but overall this daycare is poorly run and was a terrible experience for our family.

  • Been at Pooh Bear with our now 2 year old for over a year. Our kiddo loves his teachers so much that he talks about them at home. He has moved between rooms a few times, but teacher turnover has been very low compared to stories from other parents. Would definitely recommend!

  • I have two children currently enrolled at pooh bear in middleton who both started as infants. With my first, I had horrible anxiety about bringing my child to be in the care of other people. Now, pooh bear is our extended family to our kids and the village we don't have. My kids teachers have been so loving towards my kids and have taken great care of them. My kids have learned so much at pooh bear, make lots of friends, and have so much fun every day. Pooh bear is clearly run by people who are focused on the kids and it is not just a business. Teachers here know my kids so well, understand children's development and the ups and downs that come along with them, and have become people my kids trust, reach for, and love. We are so grateful to be a part of the pooh bear family and highly recommend this center. Being able to be a working parent and know your kids are safe, happy, and well cared during the day is priceless and something that we have experienced here.

Questions parents ask about POOH BEAR CHILDCARE

Is POOH BEAR CHILDCARE a licensed child care provider in Wisconsin?

POOH BEAR CHILDCARE holds Wisconsin licence 5000577825-001, listed as "LICENSED" by the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families in Dane County, licensed since 2002-09-03. Confirm current standing on the state's provider search at childcarefinder.wisconsin.gov before enrolling.

What is POOH BEAR CHILDCARE's YoungStar rating?

YoungStar rates POOH BEAR CHILDCARE 2 stars out of five. The rating covers staff education, the learning environment, business practices and child well-being, not inspection outcomes, and it is separate from the licence.

What are POOH BEAR CHILDCARE's hours?

The state directory lists 06:45 AM-05:30 PM, Jan-Dec, full time. Wisconsin records the daily window but not which days it applies to, and hours change without the licence record changing, so call ahead.

What ages does POOH BEAR CHILDCARE take?

The licence covers 6 weeks to 9 years 11 months. That is the span Wisconsin licenses the provider for, not a list of the rooms it runs, so ask which age groups it is actually staffing.

Does this page show inspection results for POOH BEAR CHILDCARE?

No. Wisconsin publishes licensing violations for each provider, and none of them are included here, so nothing on this page reflects POOH BEAR CHILDCARE's inspection history either way. Read the violation record on the state's provider search at childcarefinder.wisconsin.gov.
