Ted ChristmanApr 5, 2026I would never recommend this place based on the experience I had. I signed my son up in the summer of 2022. When it came time to make the payment, I attempted to pay twice, but both times I was told that the card machine was broken. At the time, I was eight months pregnant. Shortly after, I had to be induced early due to complications. Five days after giving birth, I suffered a severe hemorrhage and went into cardiac arrest. Doctors performed CPR on me for about 30 minutes, and I was placed in a coma for two weeks. When I woke up, I had undergone multiple surgeries and had to learn how to walk again. My entire focus during that time was on surviving and recovering. Because of everything that happened, the payments had completely slipped my mind and I had honestly forgotten all about it during my recovery. During that time, the owner contacted me regarding two missed payments totaling $2,700. She told me that emails had been sent, but I never received any communication. When I explained the medical emergency and everything I had been through, I was met with a very rude response and was told that I needed to pay the full amount immediately or I would be sued. I never said that I wouldn’t pay what was owed. However, I was extremely disappointed by the complete lack of compassion and understanding given the life-threatening situation I had just gone through. I was given no time or flexibility to arrange payment, even though I had been unable to work for quite some time due to multiple surgeries and a long recovery. A little compassion and understanding during such a difficult time would have made a big difference.
Kilea KernsMar 12, 2026I bumped into this group at a park while out with my 3 kiddos. There were big kids everywhere climbing on parts of playground equipment that they shouldn’t be on, climbing up slides when others are trying to go down it and not letting other kids use the zip line at the park. I felt the kids needed more supervision than what was happening.
Morgan SefzikJul 1, 2024We have planned two birthday parties at Spartan Day Camp and they have both been perfect. The space is great for any age. There is a ton of room and it’s so open. Parents can sit at the tables and just watch everyone play. The staff is amazing. They always check to see if there’s anything they can do to help and when random kids approach them they are quick to play with them. Highly recommend hosting your next kid birthday party here!
Nikki RoderFeb 13, 2024The open gym is wonderful for my homeschooled children. The staff is friendly and works hard to keep the place clean and safe!

Questions parents ask about SPARTAN DAY CAMP
Is SPARTAN DAY CAMP a licensed child care provider in Wisconsin?
- SPARTAN DAY CAMP holds Wisconsin licence 3000588213-001, listed as "LICENSED" by the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families in Dane County, licensed since 2014-06-16. Confirm current standing on the state's provider search at childcarefinder.wisconsin.gov before enrolling.
What is SPARTAN DAY CAMP's YoungStar rating?
- YoungStar rates SPARTAN DAY CAMP 2 stars out of five. The rating covers staff education, the learning environment, business practices and child well-being, not inspection outcomes, and it is separate from the licence.
What are SPARTAN DAY CAMP's hours?
- The state directory lists 06:45 AM-06:00 PM, Jan-Dec, full time. Wisconsin records the daily window but not which days it applies to, and hours change without the licence record changing, so call ahead.
What ages does SPARTAN DAY CAMP take?
- The licence covers 4 years to 12 years 11 months. That is the span Wisconsin licenses the provider for, not a list of the rooms it runs, so ask which age groups it is actually staffing.
Does this page show inspection results for SPARTAN DAY CAMP?
- No. Wisconsin publishes licensing violations for each provider, and none of them are included here, so nothing on this page reflects SPARTAN DAY CAMP's inspection history either way. Read the violation record on the state's provider search at childcarefinder.wisconsin.gov.
